Career CategoryClinicalJob DescriptionGlobal Distribution Strategy Manager The Global Distribution Strategy Manager will report to the Amgen India (AIN) Global Distributor Director and operate under strategic guidance from Global Distribution functional leads. This role is a key leadership position within Amgen’s Global Supply Chain organization, responsible for leading and scaling operational support capabilities delivered through the AIN organization across global distribution strategy, analytics, digital enablement, serialization support, and supply chain security operations. This leader will drive operational excellence through analytics, governance, process standardization, and scalable support models while contributing to the broader global distribution transformation agenda. ________________________________________ Job Responsibilities: Lead and oversee AIN operational support activities across Global Distribution Strategy, Serialization, Supply Chain Security, Analytics, and Enablement functions. Support execution of global distribution strategic initiatives and transformation programs in alignment with organizational priorities and global functional leadership. Oversee the development and maintenance of global dashboards, KPI reporting, and analytics capabilities delivered through the AIN support organization. Support budget consolidation activities, financial tracking, business case development, and monitoring of strategic investment and productivity initiatives across Global Distribution. Coordinate and support digital and system enhancement projects impacting distribution operations, analytics, serialization, and supply chain security processes. Oversee the development and maintenance of global dashboards, KPI reporting, and analytics capabilities delivered through the AIN support organization. Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including Supply Chain, Quality, Regulatory, Trade Compliance, Digital Technology & Innovation (DTI), Finance, and regional affiliates to support compliant and efficient distribution operations. Monitor operational performance trends and identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives. Support governance activities, operational reviews, and preparation of executive-level reporting and presentations for global leadership forums. Build and develop a high-performing operational support team within the AIN organization, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning. ________________________________________ Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Logistics/Supply Chain, Business Administration or Life Sciences. AND Minimum 5 years of managerial experience of hiring, staff development and directly leading people ________________________________________ Preferred Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in biopharmaceutical supply chain, or supply chain strategy within a GMP/GDP-regulated environment. Knowledge of pharmaceutical distribution operations, serialization requirements, and supply chain security processes. Demonstrated people leadership experience, including team development, stakeholder management, and leading cross-functional operational support organizations within a global environment. Strong analytical capabilities with experience supporting financial planning and performance activities. Experience supporting digital transformation implementation initiatives. Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced global environment.
