Career CategoryMedical AffairsJob DescriptionMedical Science Liaison (MSL) – Oncology Sofia, Bulgaria | Field-Based Position About the Role We are seeking a highly motivated Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to join our Oncology Medical Affairs team in Bulgaria. As a field-based scientific expert, you will serve as a key medical partner to oncology healthcare professionals, academic experts, and healthcare institutions across Bulgaria. You will be responsible for building scientific partnerships, facilitating evidence-based discussions, generating medical insights, and supporting initiatives that ultimately improve patient care. This position is based in Sofia and includes responsibility for key oncology centers throughout Bulgaria, requiring regular travel within the country. What You Will Do Scientific Leadership Serve as the trusted scientific expert for external stakeholders. Deliver high-quality scientific exchange on disease areas, clinical data, treatment guidelines, and emerging evidence. Provide timely, balanced, and compliant responses to medical inquiries. Support scientific understanding of current and future treatment approaches. Stakeholder Engagement Develop strategic relationships with KOLs, investigators, and healthcare decision-makers. Create and execute stakeholder engagement plans aligned with medical priorities. Facilitate scientific discussions through face-to-face, virtual, and group interactions. Support scientific advisory boards and medical education initiatives. Medical Insights & External Environment Capture and communicate actionable medical insights. Identify trends, unmet clinical needs, and opportunities for scientific collaboration. Contribute external perspectives to Medical Affairs planning and execution. Maintain awareness of relevant scientific and healthcare developments. Research & Evidence Generation Support company-sponsored and investigator-initiated research activities. Contribute to discussions regarding study opportunities and feasibility assessments. Support generation of real-world evidence and scientific publications where appropriate. Internal Collaboration Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Clinical Research, Regulatory, Market Access, and other relevant functions. Provide scientific support to cross-functional initiatives. Act as a trusted medical partner within the organization. What we are looking for Essential Qualifications MD, PharmD, PhD, MSc, or comparable advanced scientific degree. Scientific background in oncology, hematology, medicine, pharmacy, or life sciences. Strong ability to critically analyze and communicate clinical data. Excellent interpersonal and scientific communication skills. High degree of integrity, professionalism, and compliance awareness. Ability to work independently in a field-based role. Fluent Bulgarian and English, with the ability to communicate scientific information effectively in both written and verbal formats. Preferred Qualifications Previous Medical Science Liaison experience. Oncology and/or hematology expertise. Experience interacting with KOLs and healthcare institutions. Knowledge of clinical research methodology and evidence generation. Experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry. .Salary Range 35,022.55 EUR - 47,383.45 EUR
