A Day in the LifeMiniMed, a global leader in diabetes management technology, is seeking a results-driven and experienced Senior Business Development Manager to lead commercial growth across the Central Territory, including Budapest. This is a high-impact opportunity for a seasoned sales professional to champion access to innovative diabetes care solutions — most notably the MiniMed™ 780G system, an advanced automated insulin delivery (AID) system that continuously monitors glucose levels and automatically adjusts insulin delivery through a smart algorithm, enabling people living with diabetes to achieve superior glucose control with minimal daily intervention. This role offers a clear mandate, a portfolio of clinically differentiated products, and the autonomy to shape territory strategy — making it an exceptional opportunity for a commercially ambitious professional seeking meaningful career progression within a purpose-driven organization. This is a field-based position anchored in Budapest, serving as the primary commercial point of contact across the Central Territory. The role reports directly to the Country Sales Manager and operates within a structured regional commercial framework. Significant travel — estimated at 60–70% of working time — is expected to fulfill account management, stakeholder engagement, and business development objectives across the territory. Periodic attendance at national and international congresses, company meetings, and product training events will also be required. A company vehicle is provided, and a valid driver's license is a prerequisite for this position. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned: Lead the end-to-end commercial development of the MiniMed diabetes portfolio — including the MiniMed™ 780G system — by identifying, qualifying, and converting new business opportunities across hospitals, specialist diabetes centers, and outpatient care settings within the Central Territory Design and execute a comprehensive territory business plan with clearly defined objectives, account prioritization, and performance milestones aligned to national revenue targets Establish and cultivate strategic relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), endocrinologists, diabetes nurse specialists, and hospital procurement and formulary decision-makers to secure and expand MiniMed's market position Collaborate with internal marketing, clinical affairs, and market access teams to ensure coordinated execution of product launches, reimbursement initiatives, and HCP (healthcare professional) education programs Conduct ongoing competitive analysis and territory mapping, translating market intelligence into actionable recommendations that inform commercial planning and positioning strategy Represent MiniMed with authority at national scientific congresses, regional symposia, and professional association events to reinforce clinical credibility and strengthen brand presence Provide structured guidance and informal mentorship to junior territory colleagues, supporting capability development and contributing to a high-performance commercial culture. Required Knowledge and Experience: Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in medical device or specialty pharmaceutical sales, with a demonstrable and quantifiable track record of achieving or exceeding commercial targets Bachelor's degree or equivalent in life sciences, business administration, or a related discipline; clinical background in healthcare or nursing will be given equivalent consideration Established proficiency in managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles within hospital and institutional environments, including engagement with procurement, pharmacy, and clinical leadership Strong strategic planning and analytical capabilities, with demonstrated experience developing and executing structured territory or account management plans Advanced communication, negotiation, and executive-level presentation skills, with full professional fluency in both Hungarian and English Highly self-directed and accountability-driven, with the ability to operate with autonomy in the field while maintaining close alignment with regional team objectives and company standards.
