Job Description Digital and Medical Modernization Lead, reports to the Country Medical Director. This role operationalizes the V&I digital data and innovation and the Medical Modernization (MM) strategy locally across applicable therapeutic areas and drives digital scientific engagement for all Therapeutic Areas (TA) in Israel. This highly cross-functional role works closely with local and global Medical Affairs, as well as Digital, Data & IT, CRM/Data Analytics, Legal and Compliance stakeholders, to support the Medical Affairs team’s digital transformation and embed digitalization into current ways of working and future strategic development. The role is primarily responsible for identifying, developing and implementing foundational digital and data analytics capabilities that translate into an innovative, efficient and competitive Medical Affairs organization. The Lead builds and engages the TA-specific digital Scientific Leader (SL) roster in close alignment with the Country Medical Advisors of that TA, executes data-driven, omnichannel scientific engagement projects, and measures impact using Veeva CRM/VVMC and analytics dashboards in collaboration with the Medical Modernization Center of Excellence. The Digital Lead adapts global/regional scientific content for local use in compliance with policy and SOPs, decides with the Country Medical Director and Medical Advisors where to use the content, enables country medical teams to transition to omnichannel engagement of priority SLs/KDMs, provides guidance and support to help local medical team to master required capabilities, and feeds insights and results to inform scaling decisions. At a country level, the Digital Lead partners with the local Medical Affairs Team working closely under the CMD sponsorship, Digital and IT teams (COD), Commercial Business Unit colleagues, and legal/compliance experts to ensure successful execution of the planned activities. The Digital Lead will build a bidirectional communication between the region and cluster/country, share and scale best practices, and modernize the way medical affairs teams work in your country and in the region. The Digital Lead function is critical in our change management efforts by communicating and supporting new ways of working, and inspiring others to adopt innovative ways of working as we shape and transform our V&I engagement strategy, drive MM efforts and transformational change within medical affairs, fostering a culture of continuous improvement to achieve long term success. Responsibilities: Implement the digital scientific engagement plans for a specific TA in alignment with the V&I Global Medical Modernization (MM) vision and strategy including the planning and execution of the country MM plan Develop and implement the local Medical Affairs digitalization strategy, including digital tools and data analytics capabilities that strengthen scientific customer engagement and operational excellence. Support simplification and automation initiatives that increase efficiency, improve alignment across the medical team, and enable scalable ways of working. Establish a “digital SL roster” for different TAs and work with Country Medical Advisors to get the process endorsed Coordinate data‑driven engagements with SLs using planned and approved proactive scientific communications on products and disease awareness created by the Global Scientific and Value Content (GSVC) team; Complement GSVC materials with regionally developed scientific materials to pursue local V&I goals Ensure Medical Advisors are informed and help select the digital scientific engagement materials that are used and include digital scientific engagement in their local country medical affairs plans Utilize and analyse existing KPIs/metrics and define new ones if needed, build dashboards, analyse trends and recommend scale/stop/iterate decisions to CMD to continuously improve the breadth and quality of scientific engagements Assess relevant systems, technologies and potential collaborations that can advance Medical Affairs digital transformation, in alignment with local priorities and enterprise requirements. Maintain alignment and governance with the GMSA digital strategy and relevant regional/global Medical Modernization priorities. Work with the Medical Review & Legal team to ensure content is of scientific nature medically/scientifically accurate, truthful, clear, relevant, complete, scientifically balanced, non-misleading and is accompanied by appropriate context Ensure content delivered through digital tools meets Scientific Exchange requirements and is consistent with applicable internal SOPs, policies and local compliance expectations. Communicate, influence and inspire others to drive MM efforts and transformational change within medical affairs, fostering a culture of continuous improvement to achieve long term success. Serve as subject matter expert in innovation & data analytics and as local point of contact between the local country Medical Affairs teams and other teams locally and onregional/global level Act as a role model for digital innovation, data ownership and value creation, proactively coaching colleagues into the concepts. Lead omnichannel adoption and implement engagement in the country in line with country medical affairs plans and aligned with the Country Medical Advisors Act as a subject matter expert who brings innovation in scientific engagement to the country/cluster, creates initiatives that strengthen the team’s digital mindset, and aligns digital capabilities with the needs of the scientific community. Utilize and monitor KPIs, system metrics and analyse trends to enhance decision-making on optimizing omnichannel scientific engagements Utilize regional and local data and analytics to ensure breadth and quality of engagement with the SL and KDM community in the country/cluster. Orchestrate advocacy for new channels, content personalization, medical portal, and GenAI‑assisted tools where permitted and capture learnings for scale.
