Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/innovative-medicine Purpose: The Director, Strategic Business Transformation, will lead and manage discrete strategic assignments and provide structured, decision-focused insights to leadership. The Director is expected to flex across a range of topics pertinent to the strategy of Therapeutics Development and Supply, and pivot priorities based on business needs. The Director will apply business and scientific expertise while working collaboratively with subject matter experts and executive stakeholders to clarify, analyze and develop proposals to address complex business challenges. The Director will apply expertise in business process redesign, operating model evolution and capability building to drive strategic imperatives to generate business impact. You will be responsible for: Own discrete strategic workstreams or problem statements end-to-end, from initial framing through analysis, synthesis, and recommendation. Building a data‑driven understanding of internal and external factors to generate insights that inform and pressure‑test strategy. Rapidly building context and fluency on new topics, synthesizing complex information into decision-relevant insights with limited direction. Leading time-bounded strategic assessments on priority and cross-functional topics. Applying structured problem solving, scenario analysis, and strategic thinking to evaluate options and trade-offs. Developing executive-ready analyses, narratives, and materials for leadership forums. Supporting preparation for leadership reviews, working sessions, and strategy discussions. Tracking progress of critical initiatives, identify emerging risks or issues, and elevate insights as appropriate. Operating effectively in a model where priorities and assignments evolve over time based on strategic needs. Qualifications / Requirements: Master's or advanced degree required, preferred in a scientific discipline or in business management (MBA, MS, PhD). 10-12 years of experience in consulting, strategy, business operations, or transformation roles within the biopharmaceutical industry, or advising large, complex global enterprises. Broad understanding of drug development process, applicable to CMC development required. Strong analytical problem-solving skills coupled with critical thinking and ability to design, structure, and lead projects are required; demonstrated experience breaking down problems and developing options and decision-criteria required. Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively with senior leaders, subject matter experts, and cross-functional teams required. Strong written and verbal communication skills with executive audiences required. Proficient leading self and others through ambiguity to realize value required.
