The Role: The Site Accountant supports the financial health and compliance of the Site operations. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, cost control, asset management, and adherence to local regulatory requirements. The Site Accountant serves as a business partner to the operational teams, supporting decision-making through financial insight and analysis. Key Responsibilities: Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings in line with Group timelines. Prepare and submit site-level financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis. Ensure all transactions are recorded in compliance with IFRS and Sandvik financial policies. Monitor site operating costs and drive cost-saving initiatives. Perform detailed cost analysis and highlight areas of concern. Provide accurate cost allocation to departments and projects. Support annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes. Provide financial input to operational and strategic plans. Track actuals against budget and investigate variances. Ensure fixed assets and inventory are accurately recorded and regularly reconciled. Participate in physical inventory counts and asset verification exercises. Monitor stock levels and work with Supply Chain and Operations to optimize working capital. Act as a financial advisor to site and operational leadership teams. Provide ad hoc financial modelling, reporting, and business case support. Liaise with external service providers, auditors, and regulatory bodies as needed.
