Position SummarySoftware Development Engineer As a Software Development Engineer, you will help design, build, test, and enhance software solutions that support business innovation and operational excellence. This role is ideal for a problem-solver who enjoys collaborating with cross-functional teams, writing high-quality code, and contributing to scalable, reliable, and user-focused applications. You will play an important role in transforming ideas into impactful digital solutions. Responsibilities: Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software applications and system components. Collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders, and technical teams to define software requirements and functional specifications. Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and well-documented code aligned with development standards and best practices. Participate in code reviews, debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization efforts. Support application integration, system interoperability, and continuous improvement initiatives. Contribute to software architecture discussions and technical design decisions. Execute unit testing, integration testing, and validation activities to ensure solution quality and reliability. Identify and resolve technical issues in a timely manner while maintaining a strong focus on user experience and system performance. Work within Agile or similar development methodologies to deliver projects on schedule. Stay informed on emerging technologies, development tools, and engineering practices that can enhance team capabilities and business outcomes. Complete all assigned, mandatory training within the timeframe provided. Conduct and/or participate in regularly scheduled 1:1 meetings with your direct manager and/or direct reports. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Experience in software development, application engineering, or a related technical role. proficiency in PHP and JavaScript programming languages, and good knowledge of some others such as C#, Java, Python, or similar. Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), coding standards, and version control practices. Experience with databases (Transact-SQL), APIs, and system integration concepts Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or other iterative development methodologies. Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to different audiences. Commitment to quality, continuous learning, and delivering business value through technology. Fluent in French with good English communication skills, both written and verbal.
