Job Title Financial Accountant Requisition JR000015874 Financial Accountant (Open) Location College Park, Dublin Additional Locations Job Description Summary FTC - 12 months Key role in the IRLCORP finance team working with wider global finance team. The role has specific responsibilities for the critical Mallinckrodt Luxembourg legal entities and, where applicable, supports the team with other Irish/UK/Swiss/German/Netherlands legal entities Preparation of financial accounts for monthly/quarterly/annual/statutory reporting is central to the role. The role involves a number of areas including banking/treasury, annual audit (local statutory), internal controls (SOX), tax (Corporate/VAT/Payroll), company secretarial and budgets & forecasting i.e., finance owner for specific legal entities Ensuring financial accounting accurately reflects the activities of the relevant legal entity(ies). Proactively collaborate with internal/external tax/legal/accounting/business teams to achieve this outcome Reports to the Snr Finance Manager. Supports key areas relating to Luxembourg Board of Directors Job Description Essential Functions Financial Accounting/Reporting: Timely and accurate financial accounting for Mallinckrodt Luxembourg and where applicable specific Irish/UK/Swiss/German/Netherlands legal entitiesPreparation of accounting transactions/journals to meet reporting deadlines.Prepare under US GAAP with local GAAP adjustments as required Prepare Balance sheet recs Preparation of Quarterly analysis and reporting templates for delivery to Consolidation/SEC reporting teams Prepare/document accounting for complex non-routine transactions in both US and local GAAP Support FP&A in Preparing budgets/forecasts for key corporate functions Support continuous improvement of processes, procedures, and reporting Proactive systems implementation/improvement using technology solutions for continuous process improvement.E.g., SAP, Blackline, OneSource, SharePoint, HFM, undefined undefined undefined undefined Tax Reporting: Requires significant level of work collaboration with internal/external tax teamsPrepare supporting schedules for Luxembourg CT returns and where applicable specific Irish/UK/Swiss/German/Netherlands legal entities Prepare tax provision supporting schedules to review stage for Luxembourg entities Preparation of VAT returns/reporting for Luxembourg entities Participate in projects led by internal tax team, typically focused on Luxembourg corporate tax structure and where applicable specific Irish/UK/Swiss/German/Netherlands legal entities Annual Financial Statements and Audit:Prepare draft statutory financial statements/audit files for review Provide required financial information to external auditors undefined Company Secretarial: For Luxembourg subsidiaries and where applicable specific Irish/UK/Swiss/German/Netherlands legal entities:Support Financial Controller Luxembourg in their role Provide required information to external Company secretarial service providers Provide inputs to external service provider and First stage review of draft filings Ensure all original signed board minutes, compliance filings, relevant legal documents are sent to appropriate internal/external location undefined Treasury/Banking for IRLCORP: Working closely with internal treasuryProvide cash forecasts/reporting for LUX entities to treasury Support treasury, on funding of bank accounts Support treasury on Bank account set-up/maintenance undefined SOX and Internal controls:Document accounting processes and procedures Document internal controls to review stage Support Finance Manager, IRLCORP team and SOX team in ensuring Luxembourg and where applicable specific Irish/UK/Swiss/German/Netherlands legal entities are fully SOX compliant Central Bank returns:Preparation of returns to review stage undefined Audit Trail & Knowledge Capture: Ensure complete and accurate audit trail/record storage for all aspects of the role Minimum Requirements Education / Experience / Skills: Qualified Accountant ACCA/ACA with a number of years post qualification experience Audit experience Financial Accounts and Corporate tax filing preparation SOX experience US GAAP, Irish GAAP (and/or IFRS) experience.
