Work Schedule Standard (Mon-Fri) Environmental Conditions Various outside weather conditions Job Description Job Purpose Drive the growth of Thermo Fisher Scientific's Cell & Gene Therapy (CGT) business by identifying, developing, and expanding commercial opportunities across biopharmaceutical companies, biotechnology firms, CDMOs, academic research institutes, hospitals, and emerging Cell & Gene Therapy organizations. Collaborate with internal business units to deliver integrated workflow solutions that accelerate customers' research, process development, clinical translation, and manufacturing of advanced therapies. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Drive business growth for the Cell & Gene Therapy portfolio across assigned territories and customer segments. • Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities within biotech, biopharma, CDMOs, academic institutes, and translational research organizations. • Develop strong relationships with scientific investigators, manufacturing teams, procurement, quality, and commercial stakeholders. • Promote Thermo Fisher's comprehensive CGT portfolio, including cell culture media, reagents, viral vectors, plasmids, bioprocessing solutions, analytical instruments, consumables, and services. • Collaborate with Business Unit Specialists, Technical Sales Specialists, Application Scientists, and Service teams to deliver integrated One Thermo Fisher solutions. • Generate and manage a healthy sales pipeline while achieving quarterly and annual revenue targets. • Develop account plans for strategic customers and execute activities to increase share of wallet. • Conduct scientific discussions, product demonstrations, customer presentations, workshops, and seminars to increase market awareness. • Monitor customer pipelines, funding activities, clinical programs, and manufacturing expansion plans to identify future business opportunities. • Gather market intelligence on competitors, customer needs, emerging technologies, and industry trends to support business strategy. • Maintain accurate opportunity tracking, forecasting, and CRM updates in accordance with company expectations. • Work closely with marketing to support lead generation campaigns, conferences, scientific meetings, and customer engagement activities. • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through timely follow-up and coordination with internal support functions. QUALIFICATION & EDUCATION: • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Biochemistry, Biomedical Engineering, Pharmacy, Molecular Biology, or a related scientific discipline. • MBA is desirable but not mandatory. EXPERIENCE • 6–10 years of commercial experience in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biopharma, Cell & Gene Therapy, Bioprocessing, or related industries. • Experience in technical sales, business development, application support, or account management within the life sciences market. • Good understanding of Cell & Gene Therapy workflows, including cell culture, gene editing, viral vectors, cell processing, bioprocessing, and analytical technologies. • Experience working with biotechnology companies, pharmaceutical organizations, research institutes, hospitals, or CDMOs is preferred. • Demonstrated ability to manage a sales pipeline and consistently achieve business objectives. • Experience working within a matrix organization is an advantage.
