Sandvik Coromant In Westminster, SC Is Looking For A Machine Operator II Join Our Team as a Machine Grind Operator II Are you a mechanically inclined professional who enjoys working with advanced manufacturing equipment and precision processes? We are seeking a Machine Grind Operator II to set up and operate robotized top and bottom grinding, ER, and ELB equipment while ensuring products meet quality standards and blueprint specifications. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining production efficiency, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and delivering high-quality products in a safe and team-oriented manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities: Select and prioritize jobs using the Shop Floor Control System or as directed by leadership. Set up and operate robotized top and bottom grinding, ER, and ELB equipment according to work instructions, blueprints, and specifications. Develop and modify basic CNC programs to support production requirements. Adjust machine parameters and perform required robot calibrations. Verify process capability using Statistical Process Control (SPC) and other control methods. Utilize process-specific measurement systems, including the Roll-ER and PER systems, to ensure conformance to specifications. Perform visual inspections to verify products meet all established quality standards. Monitor equipment performance to achieve defined efficiency and utilization targets. Identify and support continuous improvement opportunities with peers, supervisors, and engineers. Perform routine maintenance on equipment and tooling, including tooling assessment and replacement as needed. Assist in developing the skills and knowledge of fellow team members. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Follow all company safety, environmental, and operational requirements. Promote teamwork, collaboration, and positive working relationships within the department and across the organization. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED equivalent. 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing, mechanical, machining, or process-driven environment. (Preferred) Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and work instructions. Experience operating CNC-controlled equipment and automated manufacturing systems. Knowledge of quality inspection methods and precision measuring devices. Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and mechanical aptitude. Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Additional Information: Shift: 4th/Weekend (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) Work Hours: (7:00AM to 7:00PM-Possible Some Flexibility) This position requires current authorization to work in the United States. Sandvik cannot provide employment-based visa sponsorship for this role now or in the future. This position is onsite in Westminster, South Carolina. Remote, hybrid, or international work arrangements are not available. Relocation assistance is not provided for this position.
