Influences enterprise-wide initiatives impacting people, processes, and technology, while providing leadership on compliance, governance, complex accounting matters, and strategic business decisions to deliver sustainable business results. What You’ll Work On Partner with the LAC CFS Area FD and Affiliate Finance Directors to align priorities, influence outcomes, and drive results across a matrixed organization. Partner with CFS leadership on business strategy, business cases, operating model design, and change management initiatives. Lead strategic LAC CFS transformation, and operational excellence initiatives across the region. Support the execution of the Abbott/CFS Operating Model and broader Future of Finance transformation objectives. Monitor and coordinate cross-functional initiatives impacting people, processes, and technology, mitigating risk and minimizing business disruption. Identify, prioritize, and deliver process improvement projects that drive efficiency, standardization, and business performance. Collaborate with Divisions and BTS/IT to support ERP implementations, automation initiatives, and other enabling technologies. Build strong relationships across CFS, FP&A, Divisions, Corporate Functions, and key stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and alignment on key priorities. Provide leadership on complex accounting matters, unusual transactions, regional consolidations, and financial reporting requirements. Drive compliance with SOX, internal controls, governance standards, and risk management practices across the region, and leading regional COE Internal Controls organization. Serve as a trusted advisor on the financial and accounting implications of business initiatives, restructurings, acquisitions, integrations, and legal entity changes. Promote finance best practices, talent development, and a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement while supporting strategic and ad hoc leadership requests. Provide leadership support on special ad-hoc requests from CFS senior management. Required Qualifications BS Degree in Accounting, Finance, or General Management. Minimum 12 years of Finance and Accounting experience in a complex multinational organization, 2-3 of those years from transaction accounting through close, inclusive of external and internal financial reporting. Program and project management experience. Demonstrated leadership to work in a matrix organized environment. Experience and background in evaluating business risk and implementing financial controls. Effective stakeholder management experience with ability to influence & persuade key stakeholders and to constructively deal with conflicts. Ability to work and collaborate with others, to consider the needs of all affected groups, and to build/leverage relationships across functions and organizations to achieve business results. Decisive yet collaborative leadership style. Ability to work with others in a formal process for solving issues and problems. Strong written and oral communication skills. Proven ability to drive positive change to senior management teams and throughout organization.
