Every day, we rise to the challenge to make a difference and here’s how the Journeyman Electrician, Main Maintenance – 2nd Shift role will make an impact: Key responsibilities for this role include: Analyze drawings and wiring diagrams to locate and install circuits and equipment and to determine materials and parts needed. Plan and perform work requiring knowledge of electrical principles, wiring specifications, codes and properties of various materials. Locate source of trouble in electrical equipment when needed, by tracing and testing circuits and inspecting for faulty operation. Install conduit, fittings, switches, controls and fixtures. Wire and connect all types of electrical equipment as required for new installation or replacement of facilities, per the National Electrical Code. Perform calibration of plant equipment, as required. Consider all safety precautions and the proper isolation of circuits to cause a minimum of interference to operations. Clean up machinery and work area after performing maintenance functions. The minimum qualifications for this role are: Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent and minimum of 4 years of experience is required. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration. Must possess a minimum of a Vermont State Journeyman License. We will consider Master Electrician level depending on candidate qualifications. Must possess applicable knowledge of electrical testing equipment, e.g. ammeters, voltmeter, conduit-bending equipment, power hand tools and hand tools. Must possess applicable knowledge of plant machinery and equipment, replacement parts, control cabinets, wiring, and conduit. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. The salary range for this position is $39,000.00 - $88,000.00 USD.
