We are looking for a passionate Data Engineer with strong eCommerce domain expertise to own and evolve the data infrastructure powering our operations across Latin America. You will design end-to-end pipelines, integrate high-volume platforms and deliver data products that fuel analytics and intelligent commerce experiences. You’ll be welcomed within a large team of Data Engineers with diverse backgrounds and seniorities whereby you will take ownership of eCommerce integration projects supporting Latin American markets. With us you will: Build scalable eCommerce data pipelines Design, develop, and operate batch-oriented data pipelines using Azure Databricks, PySpark, Spark SQL, and Delta Lake. Build and publish data products across domains: catalog, pricing, promotions, inventory, orders, payments, fulfillment, and returns. Design incremental processing patterns supporting backfills, late arriving data, and schema evolution. Create reusable pipeline components and ensure products meet performance, quality, and reliability standards. Integrate eCommerce platforms and APIs Build and maintain integrations with Amazon and other eCommerce, payment, logistics, and enterprise systems. Develop ingestion solutions via REST APIs, webhooks, files, and cloud native interfaces. Handle real-world API challenges: authentication, pagination, rate limits, retries, idempotency, and schema evolution. Build monitoring and recovery mechanisms for critical integrations across Latin American markets. Engineer for performance and reliability Optimize Spark workloads through partitioning, join strategies, caching, and query-plan analysis. Implement automated data quality controls and observability through metrics, alerting, and lineage. Design pipelines that are scalable, idempotent, fault tolerant, and recoverable. Drive root cause analysis and deliver permanent solutions for production issues. What we offer you: Relocation support to Panamá. Job Qualifications 3-5 years of experience in data engineering or software engineering in production environments. Bachelor degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or similar. Proven experience in eCommerce, digital marketplaces, retail, or high-volume transactional platforms. Knowledge of eCommerce data domains: catalog, pricing, inventory, orders, payments, fulfillment, and returns. Direct experience integrating with REST APIs. Deep hands-on experience with Python, PySpark and SQL at scale. Experience building production grade pipelines on Databricks or equivalent platform. Solid understanding of batch processing, incremental ingestion, data modeling, and data quality practices. Software engineering discipline: version control, automated testing, CI/CD, code reviews, and production monitoring. Professional proficiency in Spanish and English. Nice-to-have: Advanced Databricks expertise: Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Workflows, Auto Loader, MLflow, and workload optimization. Amazon Marketing Cloud experience. Experience operationalizing machine learning or AI models in production.
