Job Title EMV Chip Product Specialist What does a great EMV Chip Product Specialist at Fiserv do? Fiserv is seeking an experienced payment card professional to lead the evolution of our EMV chip product portfolio supporting banks, credit unions, fintechs, and commercial issuers across the United States. As an EMV Chip Product SME, you will serve as a trusted advisor and product expert responsible for the development, implementation, and lifecycle management of payment chip products. You will work closely with issuing clients, card networks, chip manufacturers, card personalization partners, and internal product teams to deliver secure, complaint, and innovative payment solutions. This position combines product ownership, industry expertise, and client engagement. The ideal candidate understands the business, technical, operational, and regulatory aspects of EMV chip programs and can translate market requirements into scalable product solutions. What you'll do: Own and manage the lifecycle of EMV chip products across debit, credit, prepaid, commercial, and emerging payment programs Define product requirements, roadmap priorities, and enhancement opportunities for EMV chip technologies Monitor industry trends, network mandates, and technology changes related to contactless payments, digital authentication, Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) cryptography, and EMVCo specifications Partner with cross-functional product, technology, operations, and client teams to develop business cases and prioritize investments Serve as a trusted advisor to issuing banks, credit unions, fintech issuers, and strategic clients on chip strategy, migration planning, personalization requirements, and industry changes Lead implementation and maintenance of EMV chip profiles, application configurations, personalization standards, and risk management parameters Collaborate with chip manufacturers, card personalization bureaus, and technology vendors to evaluate capabilities, support sourcing activities, and manage ongoing relationships Track compliance requirements and readiness activities related to Mastercard, Visa, American Express, Discover, EMVCo specifications, and future payment technology initiatives Experience you'll need to have: 7+ years of experience in the payment card industry supporting issuer, processor, network, or card manufacturing environments 5+ years of experience with EMV chip products, payment card personalization, card manufacturing, issuer processing, or payment network technologies 6+ years of experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving product, technology, operations, and client stakeholders Experience working with EMV contact and contactless payment technologies, chip profile configuration, network certification requirements, and payment card personalization standards Experience using ticketing, monitoring, and reporting tools to track incidents, service requests, and system performance Ability to analyze transaction flows, interpret system behavior, and communicate technical findings to technical and executive stakeholders Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience Experience that would be great to have: Experience supporting EMV product ownership at a bank, credit union, fintech, processor, or other issuer organization Experience with card personalization, chip data preparation, chip script configuration, or card issuance solutions Knowledge of network chip frameworks and certification processes including Mastercard M/Chip, Visa VSDC, Discover D-PAS, American Express AEIPS, and EMVCo specifications Experience with emerging payment technologies such as contactless-only products, tokenization, mobile wallet enablement, FIDO authentication, secure element technologies, or digital credential solutions Sponsorship: You must currently possess valid and unrestricted U.S. work authorization to be considered for this role.
