This position reports to: Maintenance Team Leader __ The work model for the role is: onsite, #LI-Onsite Key responsibilities ABB Heidelberg is looking for a dedicated Software Developer (f/m/d) to develop and optimize innovative machine software. You will work in a motivated team on highly specialized custom-built machines and actively help shape the future of technology. You will be mainly accountable for: Developing and enhancing machine software Designing and optimizing database systems Integrating and controlling networked, highly automated systems Performing systematic troubleshooting and resolving technical issues Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams Qualifications for the role Hands-on experience with TwinCAT (ideally TwinCAT 3) Strong knowledge of SQL and database management Experience with networked systems and IoT technologies Fluent German language skills, both written and spoken, as well as advanced English proficiency Reliability, willingness to learn, and strong teamwork skills A background in special machinery engineering is a plus Benefits Retirement Plan Flexible working hours Canteen Job bike program or subsidy for the Deutschland Ticket Employee Share Acquisition Plan Please note: in the case of equal suitability, people with severe disabilities and their equals are given preference.
