IntroductionThe Customer Support Europe (CS Europe) organization is responsible for the installation, qualification, upgrade, repair, and maintenance of ASML systems at customer sites across Europe. The team also supports the transfer of knowledge to customers and plays an important role in maximizing system uptime. There are many factors that influence uptime. Besides technical parameters, supply chain lead times can have a significant impact. In this internship, you will analyse how different shipping strategies affect lead times, costs, and ultimately system uptime, helping the team identify opportunities for improvement. Your assignmentAs part of the CS Europe Operations Support team, you will perform a data-driven analysis of the impact of shipping strategies on system uptime. You will work with raw operational data and have the freedom to determine which analytical tools and methods best support your approach. The focus of this assignment is on generating insights and recommendations rather than creating standard reports. This assignment can also be adapted to fit a thesis project. Your main responsibilities will be: Analyse the relationship between shipping lead times and system uptime Evaluate the cost and operational impact of different shipping strategies Extract, prepare, and analyse data to identify trends and improvement opportunities Build dashboards and visualizations to support your analysis and recommendations Explore opportunities to join field trips to customer or support locations across Europe to gain firsthand insight into supply chain and service operations This is a bachelor/master (thesis) internship for minimum 3 months, minimum 32 hours per week (4 days on-site). If your weekly availability is lower, the internship duration can be adjusted accordingly to ensure sufficient time to complete the assignment. The start date of this internship is flexible, but preferably as soon as possible. Your profileTo be suitable for the internship, you: Are pursuing a bachelor's degree or master's degree in Data Science, Supply Chain Management, Econometrics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, or another relevant technical field Have an interest in data analysis, supply chain performance, and operational decision-making Are comfortable using data analysis and visualization tools Are analytical, proactive, and able to work independently in a structured manner Have good written and verbal communication skills in English Other requirements you need to meet: You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship, and you are at least 18 years old at the start of the internship; If you are a non-EU citizen, studying in the Netherlands, your university is willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement); You attach your cover letter with a clear motivation on why you are interested in this internship assignment in particular; You need to be located in the Netherlands to be perform your internship.
