Airbus is looking for a Techno-Functional Lead Business Analyst to join our Identity & Access Management (IAM) team in Bangalore. In our shift toward a product-led model, IAM Self-Service is a core platform used across all of Airbus. This role requires deep analytical skills, strong leadership capabilities, and a unique blend of business acumen and technical literacy. You will work directly with our Product Managers, Product Owners, Product Architects, and Technical Leads to turn identity challenges into structured, automated digital solutions. Challenges & ImpactThe Bridge: Translating complex aviation business processes, compliance rules (like Export Control), and security mandates into technical logic that developers can code immediately. Simplification: Looking at highly technical systems (Active Directory, database schemas, APIs) and designing simplified, user-centric self-service workflows. Key ResponsibilitiesRequirement Engineering: Lead workshops with diverse Airbus stakeholders (engineering, security, HR, auditors) to elicit, analyze, document, and prioritize functional and non-functional requirements. Techno-Functional Blueprinting: Convert business needs into highly detailed User Stories, Functional Specification Documents (FSDs), use cases, and technical process maps (BPMN). Architecture Alignment: Work closely with the Product Architect and Technical Lead to translate business rules into technical data models, .NET API specifications, and PowerShell automation requirements. Communication: Exceptional stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills to present complex technical logic to non-technical business units, and vice versa. Education & CertificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field. Preferred Certifications: IIBA-CBAP, CCBA, or PMI-PBA. Agile certifications (Product Owner/Scrum Master) are a strong plus. How Techno-Functional BA Fits the TeamTo avoid overlapping with the Product Owner (PO) and Technical Lead, here is how the BA collaborates: With the PO: The PO owns the priority of the backlog ("What features provide the highest value"). The BA owns the depth of the backlog ("How exactly does this feature work under the hood"). With the Tech Lead: The Tech Lead decides how to build the system. The BA provides the Tech Lead with the exact business rules, edge cases, and validation data needed to write clean code without guesswork. This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company’s success, reputation and sustainable growth.
