This position reports to: Senior Commissioning Engineer __ Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as Commissioning Engineer for projects of low to medium complexity, taking technical ownership of the commissioning scope from planning through final customer acceptance. You will ensure that commissioning activities are planned, coordinated, executed, and documented efficiently and cost-effectively, in accordance with contractual requirements, approved procedures, quality standards, HSE requirements, and applicable technical standards. You will work closely with Project Management, Engineering, Installation, Quality, HSE, customers, and subcontractors to ensure that systems are ready for commissioning, identify and communicate technical or schedule-related constraints, and support the safe and timely completion of project milestones. You will also contribute to lessons learned and continuous improvement of commissioning processes, procedures, and system design. The work model for the role is hybrid This role is contributing to the Marine & Ports business within Process Automation supporting projects in the assigned region and international project locations. You will be mainly accountable for: Planning, leading, and coordinating commissioning activities, including commissioning schedules, resource and test-equipment requirements, method statements, risk assessments, test procedures, permits, energization and switching plans, ensuring alignment with project milestones and system readiness. Leading the technical execution of commissioning and acceptance testing, including FAT/SAT activities, functional testing, protection and control systems, LV/MV electrical systems, troubleshooting, energization, and final customer acceptance in accordance with contractual and technical requirements. Managing commissioning interfaces and technical risks by coordinating with Project Management, Engineering, Installation, Quality, HSE, customers, and subcontractors; identifying installation or design deviations affecting commissioning and ensuring that findings, responsibilities, corrective actions, and technical risks are properly communicated and followed up. Ensuring commissioning quality, safety, and documentation, including test records, punch lists, commissioning reports, as-built feedback, lessons learned, and final handover documentation, while supporting continuous improvement and providing technical guidance to commissioning engineers. Qualifications for the role.Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Ability to demonstrate at least five years of experience in electrical commissioning, preferably within ports, marine, industrial, power distribution, or infrastructure projects. Strong technical knowledge of LV and MV electrical distribution systems, switchgear, transformers, protection relays, UPS/DC systems, control systems, and electrical testing and energization procedures. Proven ability to plan and coordinate commissioning activities, manage interfaces between Engineering, Installation, Quality, HSE, customers, and subcontractors, and identify and communicate technical and project risks. Experience with commissioning documentation such as ITPs, method statements, risk assessments, FAT/SAT procedures, test protocols, punch lists, energization and switching plans, and final commissioning reports. You are at ease communicating in English(necessary) and additional languages relevant to the assigned region are considered an advantage.
