The Director, Doravirine/Islatravir Commercialization & Launch Excellence will serve as a strategic commercial leader responsible for driving the successful global commercialization and launch execution of Doravirine/Islatravir. This individual will play a critical role in accelerating launch performance, ensuring organizational readiness, fostering market engagement, and enabling cross-functional execution across the HIV franchise. Reporting to the Executive Director, Global Marketing, our company HIV Treatment Programs, this highly visible leadership position will partner across Commercial, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Policy, Supply Chain, Learning & Development, Analytics, and regional teams to ensure successful implementation of the global commercial strategy and achievement of launch objectives. The HIV marketplace continues to evolve rapidly, requiring strong commercial execution, agile decision-making, and close collaboration across stakeholders. The successful candidate will be a strategic problem solver, effective collaborator, and execution-focused leader who can translate strategy into action while driving organizational alignment and business impact. This role will require leadership across commercialization planning, launch excellence, market engagement, policy, supply planning, field readiness, franchise governance, and cross-functional execution. Key ResponsibilitiesContribute to the development and evolution of the global L3 strategy for Doravirine/Islatravir, ensuring commercialization planning and launch execution are aligned to strategic priorities. Lead global launch readiness and commercial excellence initiatives, establishing milestones, governance processes, performance measures, and execution frameworks that support successful market performance. Serve as the Global Franchise Launch Strategy (GFLS) lead for Doravirine/Islatravir, ensuring cross-functional integration and alignment against key launch objectives. Partner with Supply Chain and operational stakeholders to lead Global Sales & Operations Planning (GS&OP) activities, ensuring alignment between commercial forecasts, supply planning, and launch requirements. Serve as the Market Engagement Lead, driving meaningful collaboration with regions and markets to ensure global strategies are informed by local insights and effectively translated into market execution plans. Lead Learning & Development (L&D) efforts supporting commercialization, ensuring regional and local teams are equipped with the capabilities, tools, and training necessary for launch success. Partner with Policy colleagues to identify and address external factors that may impact access, adoption, market uptake, and long-term business performance. Lead Doravirine/Islatravir marketing strategy and associated cross-functional team (CFT) activities, ensuring alignment across stakeholders and execution against business objectives. Drive cross-functional planning and execution across Commercial, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Policy, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Finance, Analytics, and regional teams. Facilitate governance meetings and leadership reviews, providing recommendations, identifying risks, and ensuring timely decision-making. Monitor launch performance and business outcomes, identifying opportunities to improve execution, accelerate adoption, and maximize commercial impact. Build relationships and foster strong partnerships across regions and markets to enhance execution excellence and organizational alignment. Challenge the status quo and identify innovative approaches, including digital and AI-enabled solutions, to improve commercialization effectiveness and launch performance. Capture and apply lessons learned to strengthen future launch capabilities and support broader HIV franchise success. Education Minimum RequirementsRequired: BA/BS Preferred: MBA or equivalent advanced degree Required Experience & SkillsMinimum of 10 years of pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or related commercial experience. Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercialization, launch planning, marketing, business operations, strategic planning, or related leadership roles. Demonstrated success leading product launches, commercialization initiatives, or major cross-functional business programs. Strong understanding of launch excellence, commercialization planning, and organizational readiness principles. Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives and driving alignment across matrixed organizations. Strong business acumen with the ability to translate strategic objectives into executable plans. Experience working closely with regional and local market teams in support of launch or commercialization efforts. Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a data-driven approach to decision making. Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and deliver results in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment. Preferred SkillsHIV therapeutic area experience. Product launch and post-launch commercialization experience. Experience working with supply planning, forecasting, launch governance, or sales and operations planning processes. Experience partnering with field organizations, learning and development teams, and market stakeholders to drive execution excellence. Global marketing or global commercialization experience. Experience leading cross-functional teams in highly complex organizational settings. Demonstrated ability to challenge conventional thinking and drive continuous improvement. Strong executive presence and ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership.
