Read more: careers.bms.com/working-with-us. Position BMS Cruiserath Biologics is seeking to recruit a permanent Manager, HVAC Engineer. Reporting to the Senior Manager Utilities, the Manager HVAC Engineer will work as part of the Engineering team to deliver reliable, compliant and energy-efficient HVAC services across the site, with a particular focus on HVAC system performance, environmental control, Asset Reliability and Asset Lifecycle Management. The successful candidate will support the System Owners and SMEs for HVAC systems. This will include air handling units, supply and extract systems, terminal HEPA filtration, temperature and humidity control, differential pressure cascades, cleanroom and controlled area ventilation, BMS/EMS interfaces, alarms, dampers, coils, fans, humidification/dehumidification and related chilled/hot water interfaces. The role will also support oversight of the Hard Services Provider and specialist HVAC service partners. Key Duties and Responsibilities: - Working with Subject Matter Experts and Service Providers to maximise utilisation, reliability and compliance of HVAC systems and equipment. This will include optimisation of plant operation, maintenance plans, standard operating procedures, risk assessments and lifecycle strategies, with a particular focus on Asset Reliability and Asset Lifecycle Management. - Ensuring maintenance standards are set and sustained to support safe, reliable and compliant HVAC operations, while driving Reliability Excellence across critical and non-critical HVAC assets. - Monitoring HVAC system performance, environmental trends, alarms and recurring issues to identify improvement opportunities and prevent repeat failures. - Pursuing and implementing new technologies, digital tools and methodologies to improve HVAC reliability, energy efficiency, environmental control and service delivery. - Developing, managing and optimising HVAC service contracts, maintenance scopes and budgets with equipment vendors and Service Providers. - Liaising with System Owners, Manufacturing, Quality, EHS and Maintenance teams to ensure HVAC equipment failures, performance excursions or compliance risks are responded to promptly and appropriately. - Leading and completing RCA investigations as required, and developing effective corrective and preventative actions for HVAC system failures, reliability issues and environmental control events. - Actively contributing to energy and water conservation management programmes by identifying HVAC optimisation opportunities, including scheduling, controls, airflow, heating/cooling demand and non-GMP operating efficiencies. - Overseeing HVAC service delivery and maintaining strong relationships with Service Providers in partnership with BMS stakeholders including Operations, Maintenance, EHS, Quality, Procurement and global engineering functions. - Ensuring HVAC systems remain in compliance with all applicable regulatory and legal requirements including EPA licence, Quality (cGDP/GMP), EHS, Global Engineering, design and construction directives, requirements and procedures. - Participating in regulatory, corporate and internal audits, and ensuring HVAC documentation, investigations and maintenance records are audit ready. Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills Required: - Bachelor’s (Level 8) or Master’s Degree in a relevant Science/Engineering discipline with at least 6 years’ experience providing technical expertise on an operating site. - Experience supporting HVAC systems in a biopharmaceutical, pharmaceutical, medical device or similarly regulated manufacturing facility is advantageous. - Strong knowledge of HVAC design principles, cleanroom environmental control, Good Manufacturing Practices, maintenance systems and industry regulations related to the manufacture of pharmaceutical products. - Demonstrated ability to use data, trends and technical investigations to improve HVAC reliability, compliance, energy performance and asset lifecycle outcomes. - Demonstrated ability to build and sustain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders including Manufacturing, Quality, EHS, Maintenance, Procurement, Service Providers and regulatory agencies to meet site and business requirements. #LI-Hybrid Why you should apply You will help patients in their fight against serious diseases You will be part of a company that encourages excellence and innovation, respects diversity, develops leaders and values its employees.
