Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities Supervises individual contributors and/or Supervisors and is accountable for conducting effective performance management. Leads processes and assignments for the Operations unit and supports organizational objectives and business goals. Defines project terms to meet objectives and goals of the Operations unit. Establishes workflow for strategic plans and serves as a primary point of contact for the Operations unit. Maintains high standards of professionalism, efficiency, personal communication, discretion, and independent judgment. Specific tasks and job duties of the position that are required daily: • Understands and applies Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives in day-to-day interactions with team. • Is required to understand and comply with the Code of Business Conduct, Company policies and laws that govern their activities. • Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor. • Responsible for achieving production targets. • Supervises individual contributors and/or Supervisors and is accountable for conducting effective performance management. • Responsible for managing operational aspects of their team (e.g., workflow, performance, and compliance), as well as ensuring achievement of team goals within expected standards. • Ensure a safe working environment and adequately follow up when improvements are needed. • Maintains front-line knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and regulatory issues to assist in the efficient managements of tasks in accordance with internal and external regulations and procedures. • Completes tasks for the support function of the Manufacturing Pharmaceutical Process Operations unit, and follows administrative processes to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and quality of deliverables. • Adheres to standard operating procedures to support tasks related to the processing of ingredients and/or pharmaceutical (new) products. • Proactively identify potential issues before they become significant problems and take necessary actions to mitigate risks and ensure operational effectiveness. • Helps monitor resources and escalates any concerns or issues to leaders to maximize successful business results. • Foster a LEAN culture through Root Cause Problem Solving, manage Tier 1, and address performance issues. • Conduct spot checks on standardized work, observe shopfloor behavior, and sign pitch chart visuals. • Perform Gemba walks, observe processes, and confirm their effectiveness. • Takes ownership of personal training and ensures that all required training is understood and completed on time. • Ensure the team is properly staffed and trained to perform their duties to the required level. • Supports internal teams in developing process improvement methods, solutions, and procedures to enhance safety, quality, reliability, cost, and scheduling. • Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in my organization by holding myself and team accountable for building an inclusive culture and executing diversity strategies to attract, develop, advance, and retain talent that reflects the diverse communities we serve. Additional tasks and job duties of the position that are not required daily: • Foster a motivating atmosphere by acknowledging individual, team, and Operations unit accomplishments, while also promoting a culture of strong work ethic and dedication. • Assess the skill levels of your team members, identifying areas for development, and providing targeted coaching and mentorship to foster professional growth. • Cultivates an open and innovative environment where every team member feels empowered to share creative solutions. • Keeps oversight of project implementation, risk assessment and mitigation. • Acts as a mentor to less experienced Manufacturing Supervisors. Minimum Qualification • HBO degree and one of the qualifications listed below: o A relevant HBO degree with at least 5 years' relevant experience, o A non-relevant HBO degree with at least 7 years' relevant experience, o An HBO degree with 5 years of people leader experience. • Dutch A2 and English B2 language levels are required. • The levels of computer proficiency are intermediate level for MS office and routine level for data analysis. • Maintain a positive attitude that influences team morale and productivity. • Lead by example in maintaining calmness and composure during challenging situations. • Demonstrate effective change leadership. • Ability to work on a shift roster (16-7) Required Skills: Preferred Skills: Agile Manufacturing, Business Behavior, Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Control (CMC), Communication, Cost-Benefit Analysis (CBA), Data Analysis, Developing Others, Gap Analysis, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Inclusive Leadership, Leadership, Manufacturing Standards, Operational Excellence, Pharmaceutical Industry, Plant Operations, Process Optimization, Project Administration, Supervision The anticipated base pay range for this position is: €64.000,00 - €103.040,00 Benefits: In addition to base pay, we offer the following benefits*: an annual bonus with set target (% of pay) depending on pay grade / location, where the actual amount is based on the employees’ and companies’ performance of the previous calendar year, or sales commissions.
