We are looking for a Contract Specialist to join ABB Electrification in Denmark. Based in Middelfart, you will support our project and sales organizations by ensuring that contracts are reviewed, managed, and carried out in a way that protects ABB’s interests while enabling effective cooperation with customers and suppliers. You will work closely with project managers, sales teams, finance, legal, and other subject matter experts throughout the contract lifecycle. From tender review and contract negotiation support to project execution and closeout, you will play an important role in helping ABB manage contractual opportunities and risks. Your responsibilities will include: Reviewing tender and contract terms and identifying contractual, commercial, and risk-related considerations. Supporting contract negotiations and providing guidance on contractual matters throughout project execution. Managing contractual obligations, milestones, changes, variations, and commercial claims in collaboration with project teams. Helping identify and mitigate risks while supporting opportunity management within ongoing projects. Monitoring contract performance and ensuring contractual responsibilities are fulfilled by all parties. Supporting the preparation and review of purchase orders, subcontracts, and other contract documentation. Collaborating with Legal & Integrity, Trade Compliance, HSE, Sustainability, and other specialists when required. Contributing to contract closeout activities, lessons learned, and continuous improvement of contract management practices. Qualifications for the role Relevant education within law, business administration, finance, engineering, or a similar field. Experience or interest in contract management, commercial support, procurement, bid management, legal services, or related topics. Understanding of contracts, commercial terms and conditions, or risk management through studies, internships, student employment, or work experience. Ability to collaborate with a range of stakeholders and balance different business needs. Ability to communicate clearly in Danish and English, both verbally and in writing. Interest in working with project support, technical deliveries, or industrial environments. Comfortable working with documentation, commercial data, and structured ways of working.
