Job description

Figma is growing our team of passionate creatives and builders on a mission to make design accessible to all. Figma’s platform helps teams bring ideas to life—whether you're brainstorming, creating a prototype, translating designs into code, or iterating with AI. From idea to product, Figma empowers teams to streamline workflows, move faster, and work together in real time from anywhere in the world. If you're excited to shape the future of design and collaboration, join us! We're looking for a Brand Designer who can establish a clear visual direction for product storytelling and drive it through to execution: someone with a narrative mindset expressed visually, who can turn complex product strategy and feature detail into a story people actually feel for major product launches. You'll partner closely with product marketing, strategists, copywriters, designers, product designers, and motion designers to create storyboards, styleframes, and visual directions that translate product strategy and features into captivating stories across launches and key product moments. This role is ideal for a designer who thinks in stories, loves the intersection of design and motion, and wants to shape how Figma's product shows up in the world, with clarity, emotion, and craft. This is a full time role that can be held from one of our US hubs or remotely in the United States. What you'll do at Figma: Turn product strategy, market context, and feature complexity into storyboards and styleframes that carry the launch story Partner with copywriters, designers, motion designers, strategists, and producers to build narrative-driven assets across launches Help evolve Figma's visual storytelling system and apply it consistently Own visual direction on launch storytelling projects from early concepting to final delivery Push new visual formats and directions; don't just execute the existing playbook We'd love to hear from you if you have: A portfolio that shows strong visual point-of-view carried through to finished execution, across mediums, with examples of styleframes, storyboards, and concepting; spec work with fake brands or products is welcome A background distilling a business or strategy brief down to a single compelling idea, and driving that idea forward into execution Experience collaborating with motion designers, production teams, product marketing teams, and product design teams A strong sense of composition, color, and pacing, especially in motion contexts, used in service of clarity, not abstraction Proficiency in Figma (After Effects a plus, but not required) While it's not required, it's an added plus if you also have:
