Work Schedule Standard (Mon-Fri) Environmental Conditions Office Job Description Financial Analyst III – Portfolio Management Position Summary The Financial Analyst III provides financial analysis, reporting, and business support to the Portfolio Management team. The role partners with business leaders and suppliers to analyze financial performance, identify risks and opportunities, support strategic decisions, and improve profitability. The analyst also supports process improvements, data governance, and the implementation of new analytical tools and reporting solutions. This position requires strong analytical skills, sound business judgment, and the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a cross-functional and international environment. Key Responsibilities Support the annual AOP process and forecast updates for key financial metrics, with minimal guidance, and present results to business leaders. Lead month-end financial activities for Portfolio Management, including portfolio expansion initiatives, supplier rebates, savings calculations, and related financial reporting. Develop, track, report, and analyze key financial metrics, identifying risks and opportunities and supporting actions to meet financial commitments. Prepare financial analysis, including proformas, margin analysis, category analysis, and other business cases, to support decision-making and challenge assumptions. Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and governance across available reporting and analytical resources, including Power BI and the EDP platform. Partner with Portfolio Management teams to provide financial insights, recommendations, and analysis that support business objectives. Identify and implement process improvements to streamline reporting, improve efficiency, and enhance the use of analytical tools such as EDP. Translate complex financial analysis into clear, actionable recommendations for business leaders and drive alignment on financial and operational decisions. Build effective working relationships across Finance, Portfolio Management, suppliers, and other functions and regions. Support and drive freight recovery initiatives, including financial analysis, tracking, and reporting. Perform other related duties as assigned. Key Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound assumptions, incorporate internal and external information, and benchmark results. Ability to identify process gaps, implement improvements, and overcome barriers to change. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial analysis clearly to different audiences. Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently within established guidelines. Strong business judgment and ability to connect financial analysis to business performance and decisions. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development. Advanced Excel skills and experience with business intelligence and analytics tools such as Power BI, Databricks, or Cognos. Working knowledge of SQL is desirable. Experience working with suppliers, portfolio/category analysis, and cross-functional teams is preferred. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. 2–3 years of relevant financial analysis or similar experience. Experience with financial analysis, data analytics, process improvement, and business partnering. Experience working in an international or cross-functional environment.
