Working in ADL’s Supply Chain team, and reporting into the Senior Manager Supply Chain, you will own and manage the medium- to long-term (4–24 month) supply plan for assigned products. You will manage direct reports within the Product Planning Team and ensure that products are accurately forecast, planned and scheduled, with optimal supply inventory levels in place to meet demand requirements while minimising scrap risk and optimising the reliability, responsiveness and stability of supply. Manage lifecycle projects such as product structure updates and continuous improvement projects that advance the Oliver Wight Class A principles governing the Amgen Dun Laoghaire Supply Chain department. Lead cross-functional teams and influence other functions and departments to ensure appropriate prioritisation and project management. Manage medium-term and long-term capacity planning activities and ensure appropriate communication and escalation to critical resource owners. Proactively assess inventory positions, from raw materials through to finished product, and execute plans to drive these to target values. Present and discuss inventory profiles in the current to +24 month window for allocated product families. Manage towards a stable Supply Plan and identify root causes and corrective actions in case of deviations. Ensure timely completion of deliverables as part of the Amgen network planning cycle (S&OP process). Support and champion the Oliver Wight Class A business processes at Amgen Dun Laoghaire, enabling alignment of consolidated demand and supply, supply plan adherence, and supply to customer sites on time and in full. Monitor Class A KPIs and define corrective and preventive actions. Develop and present scenario analyses to support decision making in the Supply Chain function. Work closely with Global Supply Chain leads across the Amgen global Supply Chain network to ensure market supply. Work closely with NPI (New Product Introduction) teams to manage new product introductions. Identify scrap risks and take preventive actions to minimise normal and abnormal scrap. Own and manage product-specific lifecycle management changes and transitions. Review and update relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure SOP compliance. Lead or participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives using best-in-class problem-solving techniques, including Operational Excellence, 6σ and LEAN. Work under minimal direction, with work guided by operational and project objectives and priorities. Anticipate and prevent potential problems by independently developing solutions that are thorough, practical and consistent. Handle a diverse scope of issues requiring evaluation of a variety of factors, including supply issues, product launch requirements, regulatory filings, transition plans, deviations, and supply and transport constraints. Win What we expect of you The successful candidate for this role will bring the following education, skills and experience Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering or relevant experience. Approximately 8–10 years’ planning experience in an industrial environment. SAP ECC Planning and/or Rapid Response experience is essential. End-to-end Supply Chain Planning experience and knowledge. Ability to analyse complex data, communicate findings, share knowledge and make recommendations. Advanced experience and capability with Excel, Word, MS Visio and MS Project. Proactive / ‘can do’ mentality. Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate in multi-cultural global forums at network level. Preferred Qualifications & Experience: Previous experience managing teams. Master’s degree or APICS certification. Working knowledge of regulatory and pharmaceutical processes. Ability to conduct effective root cause analysis. Team player, self-starter and independent worker who takes ownership of driving tasks and projects to completion. Readily adapts to, embraces and manages change. Knowledge/Skills: Understands the basics of quality systems and manufacturing processes. Strong quantitative and analytical skills. Effectively manages internal and external stakeholder relationships. Adapts communication style and works effectively across multiple functions and sites. Advises on solutions to complex problems, projects or programs. Communicates findings clearly and concisely and makes recommendations. Maintains composure and direction in high-pressure situations. Influences and inspires without authority. Effectively navigates through ambiguity to resolve issues. Works under minimal direction and independently develops solutions that are thorough, practical and consistent with functional objectives. Systems: SAP, Rapid Response (Planning System), CDOCS and QMTS (Quality TrackWise System).
