Uniphar BModesto We import medicines from EU countries where the rates are lower than in the Netherlands at that time. In our warehouse in Lelystad, the products are extensively checked according to the strictest quality standards. We provide the medicines with a Dutch package leaflet and, where possible, repack the medicines to the original Dutch packaging. In this way we ensure optimal availability of medicines and we can provide pharmacies, outpatient clinics and hospitals with the right medicines at the best prices! The Role The IT Manager is accountable for leading the local IT department and for directing the day-to-day IT policy, stability, support, resilience and continuous improvement of Bmodesto’s technology services. The role combines hands-on operational leadership with effective supplier management, coaching of IT colleagues and close partnership with Group Technology, site leadership and the Executive Board. A core objective is to maintain an operational, technical and IT-wide overview of business processes and to reduce key-person dependency by broadening and documenting knowledge of critical business systems, including the Xelion ERP environment. The role will own business-as-usual IT operations, ensure appropriate use of ICT hardware and software across the organisation, and support technology readiness for priority change initiatives, including the G-Park go-live and the transition towards Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations. Key accountabilities 1. Reliable day-to-day IT servicesOwn the effective operation and support of local technology services, systems, devices and applications. Ensure incidents and service requests are recorded, prioritised, resolved or escalated through clear support and escalation paths. Maintain accurate asset, configuration, licence, support and system ownership information. Identify recurring service issues and lead practical corrective and preventative improvements. Supervise the appropriate and secure use of ICT hardware and software by employees across the organisation. 2. Business applications and knowledge resilienceBuild, document and retain operational knowledge of critical local business systems, with particular focus on the Xelion ERP environment. Establish and maintain system documentation, support procedures, recovery information, dependency maps and knowledge-transfer plans. Coordinate application support with business process owners, existing subject-matter experts, Group Technology and external partners. Ensure risks arising from single points of knowledge, unsupported components or unclear ownership are identified and actively managed. Ensure the ERP environment is implemented, maintained and supported in line with business needs and agreed operational controls. 3. Cybersecurity, continuity and complianceImplement and operate Group Technology and Information Security requirements within the Bmodesto environment. Maintain local backup, recovery, continuity and disaster-recovery arrangements and support periodic testing. Support the timely remediation of vulnerabilities, audit findings and technology risks. Operate in accordance with applicable quality, data-protection, security and regulatory requirements, with specific obligations confirmed by the relevant Quality, Legal, Privacy and Information Security functions. 4. Supplier and service-level managementManage the operational performance of third-party technology providers against agreed services, service levels, actions and escalations. Maintain clear support responsibilities between Bmodesto, Group Technology and external suppliers. Review supplier performance, risks, costs and service improvement opportunities, escalating material issues promptly. Periodically reassess software and hardware supplier contracts in consultation with procurement, finance, legal and relevant business stakeholders. 5. Delivery of local technology changeLead or support local technology changes and projects in accordance with Group governance, architecture, security and change-control requirements. Support technology readiness, cutover, stabilisation and handover to operations for the G-Park go-live and the transition towards Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations. Assess business requirements and recommend proportionate, supportable solutions aligned with Group standards. Ensure new or changed services have agreed ownership, support documentation, monitoring, recovery arrangements and operational acceptance before go-live. Monitor developments in IT and adjacent fields and advise management on relevant opportunities, risks and improvement areas. Identify, discuss and implement improvement opportunities in consultation with the Executive Board and relevant leadership stakeholders. 6. Leadership of the IT departmentProvide leadership, coaching and supervision to employees in the IT department. Set clear priorities, responsibilities and ways of working for the IT team. Promote a service-oriented, discreet, responsible and collaborative working culture. Experience and qualifications EssentialCompleted HBO, WO or equivalent higher education in a relevant field, such as computer science, information technology or technical business administration. Demonstrable relevant work experience as a manager, preferably in an IT operations management, site IT leadership or senior technical support environment. Demonstrable hands-on experience supporting infrastructure, end-user technology and business-critical applications. Experience supporting an ERP or comparable business-critical enterprise application. Knowledge and experience of developing, implementing and managing modern IT platforms, procedures and working methods. Working knowledge of Microsoft 365, identity and access management, networking, endpoint management, backup, recovery and systems monitoring. Experience managing technology suppliers, contracts, service levels, operational risks and escalations. Practical experience of business continuity, disaster recovery and cybersecurity controls. Ability to create clear technical documentation, support procedures and knowledge-transfer plans. Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, with the ability to translate business requirements into practical, supportable solutions. Excellent command of both the Dutch and English language, verbal and written, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. A pleasant conversationalist and strong professional personality, able to advise, influence and challenge constructively. DesirableExperience with Xelion ERP. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations. Experience in pharmaceutical sourcing, distribution, supply chain, logistics, healthcare or another regulated environment. Knowledge of IT service management practices; an ITIL qualification is advantageous. Relevant Microsoft or infrastructure certification. Dutch language capability.
