Job Description The Medical Advisor (MA) is a critical part of the Oncology Medical Affairs team. In this role, the MA is responsible for implementing the medical strategy for the innovative oncology portfolio in Lebanon. The position entails engaging in non-promotional scientific exchange, acting as a vital link between the company and Scientific Leaders (SLs) and Key Decision Makers (KDMs), and providing medical and strategic support to cross-functional internal stakeholders. All interactions are built on the credibility of scientific exchange, aiming to enhance patient care and outcomes in the oncology space. Key Responsibilities Strategic & Medical Support: Provide ongoing medical advice and strategic support to internal stakeholders, contributing to brand strategy, sales training, and clinical trial feasibilities. Review and approve promotional materials and provide guidance on regulatory and patient access submissions. Deliver disease and basic medical knowledge training for new oncology products and related activities. Generate study ideas based on local unmet medical needs and assist in writing core protocols. Scientific Engagement & External Relationships: Act as the primary medical and clinical consultant internally, and serve as a medical spokesperson externally when necessary. Build and maintain robust relationships with key healthcare professionals, scientific leaders, and decision-makers in the oncology field. Engage in high-level, non-promotional scientific exchange to provide practitioners with the necessary information to make informed treatment decisions. Gather insights on local treatment practices and unmet needs, sharing these crucial insights with the broader internal organization. Organize and participate in local advisory boards, patient education programs, and regular field visits to enhance relationships and product understanding. Compliance & Ethics: Ensure all medical and marketing activities are fully compliant with legal, local, and international regulatory requirements, as well as internal company policies. Develop and execute action plans strictly aligned with Guiding Principles for External Stakeholder-Facing Activities. Requirements & Qualifications Education: MD preferable or PharmD degree or equivalent. A strong academic background in biological sciences or medicine is essential. Experience: Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, specifically within Medical Affairs, Clinical Research, or as a Medical Science Liaison (MSL). Significant clinical or pharmaceutical experience in the Oncology therapeutic area is highly preferred. Skills & Competencies: Deep understanding of the Lebanese healthcare environment and local regulatory guidelines. Excellent ability to effectively communicate and negotiate with high-level scientific and medical leaders. Strong team player who excels in cross-functional matrix environments. Outstanding project management, strategic thinking and analytical skills. Fluency in Arabic and English (both written and spoken) is required.
