The Aortic Clinical Specialist provides technical, clinical, educational and sales support to ensure safe adoption and growth of the Medtronic Aortic technology. The Aortic Clinical Specialist works closely with physician implanting teams, the Medtronic Aortic Field Sales and Cardiovascular field organizations to drive procedural and practice success. Technical & Clinical Support (50%) – Provide case planning, sizing, and procedural support to Aortic implanting centers to drive consistent execution and optimal patient outcomes. Educational Support (35%) – Deliver training and clinical education to physicians, hospital staff, and Medtronic teams while supporting site performance and procedural growth. Sales Support (15%) – Partner with territory sales teams to execute business plans, support account growth, and achieve sales objectives. Aortic Clinical Specialists must have the ability to work and/or travel outside of normal business hours, including evening and weekend on-call support. Territory for this role: Macon/Southern, GA. Candidates must reside within the assigned territory and be able to travel to multiple customer accounts throughout the region up to 50% of the time; a valid driver's license, and active insurance is required for this role. Provide expert clinical and technical support for Aortic procedures, including case planning, device sizing, CT reconstruction analysis, imaging interpretation, and procedural guidance to optimize patient outcomes. Educate physicians, implanting teams, fellows, residents, hospital staff, and new Medtronic employees on procedural best practices, device suitability, and the safe, effective use of Medtronic Aortic technologies. Lead hands-on training initiatives, simulations, in-services, and procedural troubleshooting activities to build clinical competency and support procedural growth. Leverage deep expertise in Aortic therapies, clinical evidence, competitive technologies, and market trends to enhance customer support and inform future innovation. Partner with sales leadership and cross-functional teams to execute territory business plans, strengthen customer relationships, drive account growth, and achieve business objectives. Deliver exceptional customer service by proactively addressing customer needs, resolving issues, and promoting best practices that support procedural success and customer satisfaction. Manage inventory, quality, compliance, training documentation, and complaint reporting processes to ensure operational excellence and adherence to Medtronic standards. Travel extensively throughout the territory, including overnight travel up to 50-75%, while supporting customers across hospital, Cath Lab, OR office, and field-based environments. Operate effectively in demanding clinical settings requiring the use of computers and CT reconstruction software, independent mobility, the ability to lift up to 20 pounds, and extended periods of computer-based work. Maintain safety and readiness in environments with exposure to radiation, bloodborne pathogens, and infectious diseases, including wearing required PPE and lead aprons for procedures averaging 2-3 hours. Performs other duties as assigned Required Qualifications High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 8+ years OR associate's degree and 6+ years OR Bachelor's Degree and 4+ years of relevant experience in sales, clinical, or related roles within medical devices, medtech, healthcare, or life sciences PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, nursing, or sciences. Experience with wires, balloons, catheters, stents Exceptional understanding of cardiac and vascular anatomy, physiology, and pathology Experience communicating product market advantages to physicians and hospital administration. Business to Business Sales Experience Experience teaching and educating medical personnel, peers and technical support personnel Imaging interpretation experience (CT, Angiograms) For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
