The CoreValve Senior Therapy Consultant achieves sales revenue targets and grows market share for a specified geography by promoting, selling and servicing Medtronic CoreValve and related products, post approval, while ensuring safe adoption and growth. The Senior Therapy Consultant practices good territory management with strong organization, administration and expense planning and control. The CoreValve Consultant is a partner and resource to the CVG field organization and to Catheter Based Therapies (CBT) cross functional teams, including Medical Education, Marketing, Research, and Development. Structural Heart Sales representatives must have the ability to travel on short notice, including overnight stays up to 50-70% of the time (geography variability). Territory for this role: Oregon. Candidates must reside within the assigned territory and be able to travel to multiple customer accounts throughout the region; a valid driver's license, active insurance is required for this role. To find all Structural Heart Sales positions please use #shsales in the key word search at Medtronic Careers POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Drive territory growth by developing and executing account strategies to achieve or exceed sales goals, expand existing business, generate new opportunities, address customer needs, and effectively position Medtronic solutions against competitors. Provide clinical and technical expertise by serving as a trusted TAVR subject matter expert, supporting implant procedures (including scrubbing in, valve loading, and case support), educating customers on product indications and safe device use, and helping sites achieve procedural success and adoption growth. Cultivate market and product leadership by maintaining deep knowledge of CoreValve, TAVR therapies, IFUs, clinical literature, competitive products, and industry trends; partnering with R&D on future innovations and representing Medtronic at industry meetings to build relationships and identify new opportunities. Provide expert clinical and technical support for TAVR procedures by guiding implant teams, supporting case planning and execution, interpreting imaging and diagnostic data, and ensuring safe, effective use of CoreValve products in accordance with clinical protocols and IFUs. Partner with customers to drive procedural success by delivering physician and staff education, supporting training programs, participating in case observations and educational events, and serving as a trusted resource on TAVR therapies, indications, and best practices. Manage territory operations and account support by coordinating case coverage, maintaining account records, forecasting implants, managing inventory logistics, securing purchase orders, and ensuring compliance with hospital credentialing requirements. Advance product and market expertise by maintaining deep knowledge of TAVR technologies, clinical literature, competitive products, industry trends, and the broader cardiovascular portfolio while providing market intelligence and customer insights to internal stakeholders. Collaborate across the organization by supporting new hire training, partnering with R&D on product enhancements and next-generation technologies, reporting product quality concerns, and delivering impactful customer presentations that strengthen clinical and business partnerships. Perform job duties that require extended periods of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the workday up to 8 hours a day. Operate safely in clinical environments that may require the use of personal protective equipment and exposure to infectious diseases or radiation. Performs other duties as assigned Required Qualifications High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 8+ years OR associate's degree and 6+ years OR Bachelor's Degree and 4+ years of relevant experience in sales, clinical, or related roles within medical devices, medtech, healthcare, or life sciences Preferred Qualifications Experience selling interventional or surgical products Demonstrated success in previous sales role; indicating a high level of sales performance, influence and selling skills Exceptional business and clinical acumen with prior experience leading a sophisticated cardiac or endovascular procedure Exceptional understanding of cardiac and vascular anatomy, physiology, and pathology Interventional cardiac or vascular experience (wires, balloons, catheters, stents) Endovascular - specifically Endovascular Aneurysm Repair (EVAR) and Thoracic Endovascular Aneurysm Repair (TEVAR) - or Cardiac surgery, Surgical Aortic Valve Replacement (SAVR) experience preferred Previous experience communicating product’s market advantages to physicians and hospital administration Successful experience launching a new device and market development experience Experience calling on C-Suite customers Prior experience teaching and educating medical personnel, peers and technical support personnel Imaging interpretation experience (TTE or Trans Esophageal Echocardiography (TEE), CT, Angiograms). Computer proficiency and ability to perform CT reconstruction with CT programs For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
