Job description

Project Role : Technology Architect Project Role Description : Review and integrate all application requirements, including functional, security, integration, performance, quality and operations requirements. Review and integrate the technical architecture requirements. Provide input into final decisions regarding hardware, network products, system software and security. Must have skills : Enterprise Architecture Framework Good to have skills : CommerceTools Commerce Platform Minimum 15 year(s) of experience is required Educational Qualification : 15 years full time education Summary: As a CDP Architect for Adobe Experience Platform, you will be responsible for defining, owning, and governing the enterprise CDP architecture vision — translating complex business requirements and client industry standards into scalable, future-proof AEP implementations. You will serve as the technical authority across all AEP capability domains: XDM schema governance, ingestion architecture (batch, streaming, Flow Service API, CDC), Query Service / Data Distiller analytics strategy, Federated Audience Composition with enterprise data warehouses, identity resolution design, real-time segmentation, and data governance frameworks compliant with GDPR and CCPA. You will operate at the intersection of strategy and delivery — leading architecture review boards, setting platform engineering standards, mentoring senior developers and lead engineers, and managing multiple client engagements simultaneously. You will produce architecture blueprints, HLD/LLD artefacts, and Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) while driving technical data source deep-dive sessions with clients to assess current-state maturity and define the target AEP architecture. Roles & Responsibilities: - Drive and own technical data source deep-dive sessions with clients — assessing current-state architecture across source systems (Redshift, Reltio, Veeva, Target) and defining the target AEP ingestion architecture and XDM data model. - Define and own the enterprise CDP architecture vision — AEP platform topology, environment strategy (sandbox SDLC pipeline), XDM schema governance model, and dataset lifecycle policy. - Construct custom technical architectures for multiple AEP solutions simultaneously — fitting client industry standards, regulatory requirements, use cases, and technical constraints. - Lead architecture review boards (ARBs) — reviewing team designs against enterprise standards and approving or documenting deviations with risk assessment. - Drive platform selection and ingestion pattern decisions — evaluating and recommending the optimal AEP ingestion approach (batch, streaming, CDC, Flow Service API, FAC) for each source system. - Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously — balancing architecture design, delivery governance, and stakeholder management across concurrent programmer. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams — data engineers, marketing technologists, business analysts, and QA leads — to deliver impactful data-driven CDP solutions. - Govern data quality and integrity — defining quality gates for ingestion pipelines, profile completeness thresholds, and identity resolution accuracy metrics across AEP implementations. - Define and govern AEP schema architecture — owning the XDM field group taxonomy, data type standards, schema versioning policy, and Customer Profile alignment across all ingestion workstreams. - Design and govern batch ingestion architectures using AEP Batch Connectors, cloud storage sources (Amazon S3, Azure ADLS, Google Cloud Storage), and SFTP — defining throughput SLAs, retry policies, partitioning standards, and file format contracts (Parquet, JSON, CSV, Avro). - Architect AEP Source Connector configurations for native Adobe applications (Target) and third-party SaaS platforms (Redshift, Reltio, Veeva) — defining authentication strategy, schema discovery standards, and incremental ingestion patterns for each source system. - Design CDC (Change Data Capture) integration patterns using Kafka, Debezium, and AEP Streaming Inlets — defining topic naming conventions, schema registry alignment, and dead-letter queue (DLQ) strategies. - Govern ETL / ELT pipeline architecture standards for ADF, Informatica IDMC, Talend, and dbt workloads feeding AEP — including Parquet / JSON payload contracts and cloud storage staging conventions. - Architect and govern custom source integrations using the AEP Flow Service API — defining enterprise standards for the full object lifecycle: base connections, source connections, target connections, Data Prep mapping sets, and dataflows. - Define and own the AEP Sources SDK governance framework for custom source connector development — setting authentication spec standards, pagination strategy, rate-limit handling, and error recovery patterns for proprietary systems (Reltio MDM, Veeva CRM, legacy ERPs). Professional & Technical Skills: - The candidate should have overall 12–15 years of experience with minimum 5+ years in AEP / Adobe Experience Cloud architecture and enterprise CDP programmer delivery. - Minimum 2 years hands-on SQL experience — AEP Query Service (PostgreSQL dialect) and Data Distiller experience required ability to define SQL architecture standards and govern compute usage across delivery teams. - Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 15 years education) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture certification advantageous. - The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background in computer science or a related field, along with a proven track record of delivering impactful AEP / CDP solutions at enterprise scale across multiple industries. - Authority-level experience with the AEP Flow Service API object model — connection spec governance, base and source connection standards, Data Prep mapping architecture, and CI/CD-based sandbox-to-production promotion. - Proven experience designing Federated Audience Composition architectures — federated DWH connections (Snowflake, Redshift, Big Query, Azure Synapse) with Private Link / VPC Peering, DULE-governed data residency, and FAC query performance optimization. - Demonstrated experience governing source system integrations for project-specific systems: Redshift (cloud DWH), Reltio (MDM / identity master), and Veeva (CRM) — including authentication strategy, XDM schema mapping standards, and delta ingestion governance. - Adobe Certified Expert: Adobe Experience Platform Technical Foundations and/or RTCDP strongly preferred Snowflake SnowPro Core advantageous for FAC-heavy engagements. - Must Have Skills: Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Experience Platform (AEP / RTCDP) — with authority-level knowledge spanning platform architecture, data modelling, ingestion design, and governance. - Good To Have Skills: Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO), Adobe Customer Journey Analytics (CJA). - Knowledge of other Adobe Cloud solutions — Adobe Analytics, Audience Manager, Adobe Target — and their AEP native source connector integration patterns. - Deep understanding of latest integration and interface technologies followed with AEP Platform — REST APIs, OAuth 2.0, SAML 2.0, JWT, webhook patterns, and event-driven architecture. - Expert knowledge of data governance and data management frameworks — DULE, Policy Service API, GDPR/CCPA, consent management, and Privacy Service API — with experience producing compliance evidence for enterprise audits. - Excellent communication skills — able to present platform architecture, ingestion pattern trade-offs, and governance frameworks to client stakeholders from developer teams to C-suite sponsors. - Demonstrated ability to meet commitments, build consensus,
