JOB DESCRIPTION:Position Overview The Sr Training Specialist, Japan is responsible for supporting the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of commercial training programs for Exact Sciences Japan (ESKK). This role focuses on executing training initiatives aligned with the Japan commercial strategy and global training standards, while acting as a key contributor and subject matter resource within the training function. The Sr Training Specialist works independently on assigned programs and projects, collaborates cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, HR, and Medical teams, and supports the onboarding and ongoing development of the commercial organization. Essential Duties Include, but are not limited to, the following: Support the design, development, and delivery of commercial training programs including new hire onboarding, recurrent training, and ongoing education programs. Deliver training content covering product knowledge, disease state education, key clinical data, selling skills, and territory or account-related information. Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, HR, Medical) to support learning objectives and program execution. Maintain and update training materials to ensure accuracy, relevance, and alignment with global and local standards. Support Training Needs Assessments (TNA) through data collection, stakeholder input, and performance observations, and contribute to program recommendations. Facilitate training sessions in classroom, virtual, and workshop settings, adjusting delivery approach based on audience needs. Support Commercial Excellence initiatives such as CRM usage support, sales tools adoption, and basic analytics interpretation. Act as a resource for commercial team members by answering training-related questions and providing post-training reinforcement. Apply adult learning principles to the design and delivery of learning content. Partner with senior training or commercial lead roles to support national meetings, product launches, and field-driven initiatives. Uphold company mission, values, and Quality Management System requirements. Works independently on defined training initiatives and modules, with guidance provided for complex or ambiguous situations. Leads components or workstreams of training projects rather than owning full training strategy. Acts as a subject-matter resource for peers and stakeholders within the commercial organization. Impacts team and cross-functional effectiveness through training execution and quality delivery. Provides informal mentoring or support to less experienced colleagues or new hires. Does not hold people management responsibility. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (e.g., life sciences, education, business, marketing). 3–5 years of experience in pharmaceutical, medical device, or diagnostics environments. Experience supporting or delivering sales training, commercial training, or field-based education. Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders. Ability to translate scientific or technical information into clear, practical learning content. Strong presentation, facilitation, and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook). Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment. Japanese: Native level. English: Business to fluent level. Ability to travel up to 40–50% as required. Must have valid work authorization to work in Japan at the time of hire. Familiarity with LMS platforms and training content management. Experience in supporting product launches or new training initiatives. Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design fundamentals. The base pay for this position is N/AIn specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
