Description Join our Chemistry Competence Center / Analytical Methods Development team at Thermo Fisher Scientific, where you will play a key role in developing, implementing, and continuously improving robust analytical methods supporting a diverse portfolio of products and technologies. As a Senior Scientist, you will provide technical leadership in analytical method development, validation, transfer, optimization, and troubleshooting while ensuring compliance with GMP requirements. In this role, you will independently design and lead laboratory studies, interpret complex scientific data, and drive analytical investigations to support product development, manufacturing, quality control, and commercial operations. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will contribute to analytical strategy, implementation of new technologies, and continuous process improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will serve as a technical subject matter expert, mentor junior scientists, support product characterization and impurity profiling, and lead the resolution of complex analytical challenges across development and commercial support programs. Requirements Advanced Degree plus 3 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years of experience in GMP-regulated pharmaceutical/biotech manufacturing Preferred Fields of Study: Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or related scientific field• Extensive experience in analytical method development, optimization, validation, transfer, and lifecycle management within a GMP-regulated environment. Strong hands-on expertise with chromatographic, spectroscopic, electrophoretic, and physicochemical analytical techniques (e.g., UHPLC/HPLC, UV-Vis, MS or related methods). Experience in characterization of complex molecules, impurities, degradation products, and critical quality attributes (CQAs). Demonstrated ability to independently design experiments, interpret complex scientific data, draw scientifically sound conclusions, and recommend appropriate actions. Experience preparing, reviewing, and approving technical documentation, including protocols, reports, SOPs, investigations, risk assessments, and regulatory support documents. Strong understanding of GMP requirements, data integrity principles, and pharmaceutical quality systems. Proven ability to lead analytical investigations, perform root cause analysis, and resolve complex technical challenges. Experience collaborating effectively within cross-functional project teams and managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Experience serving as a technical subject matter expert and providing scientific guidance and mentoring to junior team members. Proficiency in scientific data processing, statistical evaluation, and interpretation of analytical results. Strong communication, collaboration, and technical leadership skills. Commitment to safety, quality, scientific excellence, and continuous improvement. Salary €2 625–€3 937 gross/month The final offer will depend on the candidate’s experience, skills, and competencies.
