This position reports to: Operations Manager __ Your role and responsibilities (Mandatory) In this role, you will have the opportunity to ensure efficient and cost-effective production results. Each day, you will be responsible to meet order demand, specifications, quality, and planning targets through the coordination and management of plant equipment, personnel, and production processes (quantity, quality, budgeted costs, and proper productivity level). You will also showcase your expertise by developing programs, projects, goals, and metrics to lead the organization to the highest level of operational performance while optimizing working capital throughout Operations. The work model for the role is: #LI-OnSite This role is contributing to the Electrification Business in Apodaca, Nuevo Leon. You will be mainly accountable for: Prepares the annual production budget for multiple production lines, overseeing progress and implementing corrective actions to address cost issues. Manages resources effectively across lines with varying headcounts (ranging from 55 to 200 employees per shift structure) and production volumes (100 to 250 sections per week). Develops and executes strategies to optimize the operational performance of multiple production lines. Ensures alignment with customer requirements by managing (mid-complexity) orders efficiently. Collaborates with Operational Excellence teams to integrate lean manufacturing principles, optimizing production capacity across diverse product mixes. Drives continuous improvement initiatives tailored to the complexity of each production line, reducing non-value-added costs and increasing yield rates. Implements best practices to enhance efficiency in high-volume lines (up to 250 sections per week) and optimize throughput in lower-volume, high-mix lines. Provides support to Customer Service & Sales, ensuring order fulfillment aligns with business revenue targets (USD 8M to 25M per month, depending on the production line). Communicates Business Line performance updates to business leaders, addressing challenges related to production volume, workforce allocation, and lead times. Ensures compliance with HSE directives across all production lines, mitigating risks based on the unique operational conditions of each unit. Monitors and reports safety performance, implementing proactive measures to protect employees and equipment Leads a workforce across multiple production lines, ensuring proper staffing, training, and development aligned with operational complexity. Guides, motivates, and develops direct and indirect reports, fostering a culture of continuous learning and process improvement. Qualifications for the role (Mandatory) Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or a related engineering field. 8+ years of experience as a Production Leader, Junior Production Manager, or in similar roles. Experience managing hourly and salaried employees (workforce of 120+). Experience managing production schedules. Tracking production deadlines and meeting customer requests. Experience with SAP, Excel, and Power BI. Experience in the electrical, electronics, or similar manufacturing sectors. Lean Six Sigma certification. APICS certification. Advanced English proficiency.
