Cytiva is looking for a Principal Project Manager to coordinate and execute system-level and/or software projects within the Downstream R&D Hardware and Consumable portfolio. As Principal Project Manager at Cytiva, you assume full project life cycle ownership for one or several cross-functional projects ranging from technology development, new product development, program line extensions, cost out or product care, aiming to deliver and support solutions for the Bioprocess market. In this role, you will coordinate coordinate system and/or software development in close collaboration with both the core team and sub-project managers across multiple functions (e.g. hardware, single-use, software, and system). You will act as a point of contact for extended project teams as well as product management and other global stakeholders. You will also play a key role in shaping how we deliver projects in an increasingly digital and AI-enabled R&D environment, driving continuous improvement in both project execution and ways of working. The position is based in Uppsala and is an onsite role, reporting directly to the Portfolio Director for Downstream R&D. What you'll do: Own the full project lifecycle for one or more cross-functional R&D projects, from planning through execution and launch, ensuring delivery against scope, timeline, cost, quality, and regulatory requirements. Lead project planning and execution in collaboration with hardware, consumables, software, systems, product management, and other key stakeholders. Drive decision-making, risk management, issue resolution, and project governance to achieve business and customer objectives. Monitor project performance, budgets, and KPIs, partnering with portfolio management to optimize resource allocation and delivery outcomes. Leverage digital tools, data analytics, and AI-enabled ways of working to improve forecasting, collaboration, transparency, and project execution. Champion continuous improvement through Danaher Business System (DBS) methodologies, acting as a project management subject matter expert and mentoring others when appropriate The essential requirements of the job include: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical discipline such as Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field. Proven track record of successful technical or system project deliveries. Experience working in a lean and agile development framework. Extensive experience in technical or system product development environments. Several years of relevant industrial experience, including roles such as project manager, program manager, or equivalent. Fluency in both Swedish and English. It would be a plus if you also possess: Experience managing technical development projects in regulated industries such as biotechnology, biopharma, or medical devices. Experience mentoring or coaching other project managers. Exposure to or interest in applying AI and digital tools to improve project management practices and team effectiveness.
