We're looking for a detail-oriented and proactive **Analyst 2 Import & Export** to join our team in Simpang Ampat. In this critical role, The Logistics Analyst II is responsible for managing inbound freight operations and trade compliance activities for an export‑oriented manufacturing site operating under the Licensed Manufacturing Warehouse (LMW) scheme. This role plays a critical part in ensuring Customs compliance, smooth inbound material flow, and license sustainability , while actively driving process automation, digitization, and cross‑functional stakeholder engagement . You will work collaboratively with internal departments, customs authorities, and logistics partners to minimize delays, mitigate risks, and maintain adherence to all applicable international trade laws and regulations. This position is essential to our organization's supply chain excellence and operational success. Key Responsibilities 1. License & LMW Management Manage license‑related activities , including applying for and maintaining Value‑Added (VA) approvals for SDSM finished goods return products. Compile, maintain, and ensure the accuracy of the SDSM machinery inventory report (Lampiran F) in support of LMW and audit requirements. Oversee the Licensed Manufacturing Warehouse (LMW) exemption process for: Machinery and equipment ( A1 ) Raw materials ( A2 ) Finished goods ( A3 ) ensuring compliance with approved scope and operational efficiency. Coordinate annual LMW license renewals , supporting documentation preparation, submission, clarification, and Customs audit activities. 2. Trade & Regulatory Compliance Prepare and submit MITI and SIRIM permits for special or regulated inbound import shipments. Apply for ad‑hoc inbound licenses for materials not covered under existing import exemption approvals. Ensure all customs and regulatory submissions are accurate, complete, and compliant , minimizing clearance delays and compliance risk. 3. Customs Authorization & Shipment Control Provide formal “greenlight” approval via email to shippers once Customs approval is obtained, either through newly approved applications or existing Lampiran approvals. 4. Inbound Logistics & Operational Support Manage end‑to‑end inbound shipment coordination , including documentation review, Customs clearance alignment, and exception handling. Provide ad‑hoc exemptions and operational support to appointed couriers (e.g., UPS), in accordance with approved regulatory frameworks. Coordinate closely with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and logistics service providers (LSPs) to ensure compliant and timely material flow. 5. Stakeholder & Customer Service Management Act as a primary point of contact for internal shipment requestors , ensuring all required shipment details and documentation are obtained upfront. Coordinate with internal buyers, planners, and operations teams to align shipment readiness, priorities, and timelines. Proactively communicate shipment status, issues, and resolution plans to internal and external stakeholders. 6. ISO, Governance & Continuous Improvement Serve as the Logistics Department ISO Coordinator , ensuring logistics processes align with ISO requirements and internal control standards. Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation, coordinating responses, and tracking corrective actions. Demonstrate a strong automation and digitization mindset , identifying opportunities to reduce manual processes, improve data accuracy, and enhance reporting. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on compliance sustainability, efficiency, and operational excellence . Ensure inbound shipments are released strictly in accordance with approved licenses, exemptions, and regulatory conditions . Prepare reports and presentations on trade analytics and operational metrics for management and stakeholders Maintain accurate and organized trade-related databases and documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements Support the development and implementation of trade operational strategies aligned with organizational goals Department: Logistics / Supply Chain Reporting To: Senior Manager, Logistics REQUIRED 4-6 years of hands-on experience in customs operations, import/export documentation, and international trade Demonstrated experience with customs clearance procedures, documentation management, and cross-border coordination Proven track record of managing complex import/export transactions and resolving compliance issues. Bachelor's degree in Business, International Trade, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred) PREFERRED: Strong & Practical knowledge of LMW regulations, trade compliance, and Malaysian Customs requirements Hands‑on experience managing Exemption Lists (A1, A2, A3) and license renewals Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and resolve issues in a fast‑paced environment Automation and digital mindset , with experience improving processes using systems or data tools Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills Clear communication and ability to work effectively across functions Proficiency in SAP & enterprise resource planning system Expertise in import/export documentation and customs clearance processes Understanding of INCOTERMS, carrier and forwarder coordination, and broker interactions Proficiency with Harmonized System (HS) codes and goods classification for customs purposes Ability to analyze trade data and identify operational trends and opportunities SKILLS: Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in processing documents and ensuring regulatory compliance Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a
