Role Description Analog Devices offers full-time paid placement opportunities to 10+ students each year across a wide range of functions and disciplines. As a placement student, you will have the opportunity to work with our talented teams of engineers on very challenging work assignments. You will play an integral part in the development of our products. To be eligible for the placement program, you must be enrolled in your last of your degree (BSc or Masters). We hire predominantly from Electronics, Software, and Computer Science disciplines but also from Data Science Physics, Maths, etc. into many different roles which include IC Design and Verification, Product Applications, Systems Applications, Test Development, Design Evaluation, Central Applications, Software Development, Packaging, Embedded Software, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, etc. As a valued team member, students at ADI are assigned real work projects that are both meaningful and exciting. We offer a competitive compensation package including paid vacation. We will be recruiting for Co-op positions from after September 2026. Your Co-op term will be aligned to your college assigned Co-op schedule. We prefer long internship (+6 months) to guarantee the most effective experience and learning. Responsibilities may include, but not limited to: Firmware and Software Development Qualification of the Code Basic analog or digital design and verification Development of demo and instrumentation boards Metrology and lab measurements Documentation Benchmarking What is expected from you: Demonstration of strong problem-solving skills with analytical thinking Ability to debug issues systematically (analyse logs, isolate root cause) Ability to document work clearly and concisely Proficiency in the use of AI tools Other valuable qualifications: Practical experience in embedded software development. Understanding of digital design basics (FSMs, timing, pipelining) Knowledge of analog design basics Operating experience with lab equipment Basic knowledge of computer architecture / microcontrollers Experience troubleshooting hardware/software interaction problems Experience writing scripts to automate tasks (data processing, testing, logs) Exposure to simulation or scripting for testing (Python-based frameworks) #LI-CO1 For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S. Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.
