India's telecommunications landscape is evolving rapidly—with AI, cloud, 5G, and sovereign digital infrastructure reshaping how operators build, protect, and scale their networks. We're looking for a senior cybersecurity sales leader to help shape that transformation. As an Account Executive – Cybersecurity for Cisco's Service Provider business, you will own strategic relationships with India's leading telecommunications operators and drive Cisco's cybersecurity portfolio across some of the country's most critical digital infrastructure. This is a high-visibility role at the intersection of AI, networking, cybersecurity, and sovereign infrastructure—with the opportunity to engage directly with CTOs, CISOs, and senior technology decision-makers. What you'll own Strategic Account Leadership • Own cybersecurity sales and revenue targets across a defined set of strategic telecommunications accounts. • Build trusted, long-term relationships with CISOs, CTOs, CIOs and other senior technology stakeholders. • Become a strategic advisor to customers—not simply a vendor navigating procurement. Cybersecurity Transformation • Connect Cisco's cybersecurity portfolio—including SSE, Zero Trust, SASE, SIEM/Splunk, XDR, Firewall and Talos threat intelligence—to each operator's security and digital transformation priorities. • Understand the customer's regulatory environment, infrastructure roadmap, security architecture, and commercial objectives to identify high-value opportunities. • Position Cisco as a strategic security partner as operators modernize their infrastructure for the AI era. End-to-End Sales Leadership • Lead complex sales cycles from opportunity creation and RFI/RFP through negotiation and closure. • Orchestrate Cisco's technical specialists, account teams, partners, legal, finance, and other cross-functional stakeholders to build differentiated solutions and winning proposals. • Drive large, multi-year opportunities involving multiple technologies, partners, and stakeholders. Executive & Market Influence • Bring a strong understanding of the Indian Service Provider landscape and the evolving cybersecurity environment. • Engage credibly with senior technical and business leaders on topics spanning network security, cloud security, sovereign infrastructure, AI, and regulatory requirements. • Build pipeline proactively through customer insight, market intelligence, and strategic relationship development. What we're looking for We're looking for someone who has sold complex cybersecurity solutions into telecommunications operators and understands how technology, commercial, and regulatory decisions come together in this environment. You bring: • Proven success selling network and/or cloud security solutions such as SSE, ZTNA, SASE, SIEM, XDR, Firewall, IPS or equivalent technologies. • Experience managing strategic relationships within Indian or APJC telecommunications operators, ideally with ownership of named accounts or enterprise segments. • Strong understanding of the Indian Service Provider ecosystem and the ability to engage credibly with CTO/CISO-level stakeholders. • Familiarity with the regulatory environment influencing Indian telecom and cybersecurity—including TRAI, CERT-In and data protection requirements. • A track record of closing large, complex, multi-year technology deals, working across customers, system integrators, technology partners, and internal teams. • Strong executive presence and the ability to translate complex technology into business outcomes. • A proactive, commercially driven mindset—you build relationships and create opportunities rather than waiting for them. Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor's degree + 12 years of related sales experience Preferred Qualifications • Strong understanding of the Service Provider / Telecommunications market. • Current or recent experience selling cybersecurity solutions within a cybersecurity, networking, cloud, or technology company. • Experience managing strategic/named telco accounts and consistently delivering against revenue targets. • Established relationships with senior technology and security stakeholders within Indian telecommunications operators.
