This is a rare opportunity to join a highly visible Corporate Business Development team responsible for shaping GE HealthCare's long-term growth strategy. The Senior Director, Business Development will partner directly with GE HealthCare senior executives and business leaders to identify, evaluate, and execute acquisitions, strategic investments, partnerships, and divestitures that accelerate growth and strengthen our global leadership position. Job DescriptionEssential Duties Responsible for leading the execution of Business Development transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, equity investments, partnerships / alliances, and licensing opportunities With oversight from Managing Director, independently leads most phases of the transaction process including analysis of strategy and markets, target identification and screening, structuring, valuation, due diligence, negotiation, and closing Leads strategy and transaction conversations with business and functional leadership Supports prioritization of global market segment requirements, performs gap analysis to business unit portfolio, and defines strategic and tactical steps to best position segment for accelerated growth Works with BD and segment leadership to manage communication and alignment with key internal stakeholders to support effective decision making and transaction approval processes Proactively mentor and develop junior team members Required qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, Engineering, Life Sciences or Medicine Minimum eight years of experience with a minimum of six years of relevant business development experience in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, licensing, divestitures, or joint ventures in a corporate, investment banking, or consulting environment Experience supporting and / or leading all elements of the transaction process including: analyzing strategy and markets, identifying and screening targets, structuring, valuation, due diligence, negotiation, and closing Demonstrated experience and expertise in the medtech industry Strong communication, interpersonal, and influence skills Demonstrated aptitude for both managing and prioritizing multiple projects and resolving complex and challenging situations Team leadership and facilitation skills in a matrix organization and interacting with senior executives Strong problem solving skills Clear thinking: Experience simplifying strategy into specific actions with clear accountability, making decisions with speed and accuracy based on best available information, and communicating priorities clearly and concisely Integrity: Accepting and adhering to high ethical, moral, and personal values in decisions, communications, actions, and when dealing with others Adaptable/Flexible: Open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations Excellent working knowledge of English language (oral and written) We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening. For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $224,000.00-$336,000.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
