Work Schedule Standard (Mon-Fri) Environmental Conditions Office Job Description Sales Account Manager, Inorganic Mass Spectrometry – North ChinaPosition Overview With the rapid growth of strategic industries in China, including resource exploration, environmental monitoring, food safety, advanced materials, semiconductors, and emerging contaminants, the demand for advanced inorganic mass spectrometry (IOMS) technologies continues to expand. Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Sales Account Manager, Inorganic Mass Spectrometry – North China to drive business growth and customer development across Beijing, Hebei, Henan, Shanxi, and Inner Mongolia. The role will be responsible for expanding our inorganic mass spectrometry business across both established and emerging markets, strengthening key customer relationships, and driving the adoption of Thermo Fisher Scientific’s advanced analytical solutions. Key MarketsThe role covers customers and applications across: Geosciences, geochemistry, geological surveys, and mineral resources Isotope analysis Environmental monitoring and emerging contaminants Food safety New energy and advanced materials Semiconductor and electronic materials Advanced manufacturing Third-party testing laboratories Universities and research institutes Government laboratories and public institutions Key Responsibilities1. Sales & Business ManagementAchieve annual sales and business growth targets for the North China territory. Develop and execute territory sales plans and drive key projects to successful closure. Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and identify new business opportunities. Manage the sales pipeline and continuously improve market coverage and market share. 2. Market DevelopmentDevelop new customers, applications, and market opportunities across the territory. Maintain leadership in traditional markets while accelerating growth in emerging areas such as environmental analysis, food safety, advanced materials, emerging contaminants, semiconductors, and advanced manufacturing. Develop strategic reference customers and successful application cases to support further market expansion. 3. Product & Solution SellingDrive the promotion and sales of Thermo Fisher Scientific’s advanced inorganic mass spectrometry portfolio, including: Isotope Ratio Mass Spectrometry (IRMS) Multi-Collector ICP-MS (MC-ICP-MS) High-Resolution ICP-MS (HR-ICP-MS) Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry (TIMS) Glow Discharge Mass Spectrometry (GD-MS) Orbitrap IRMS Work closely with product specialists, application scientists, and technical teams to understand customer needs and provide complete analytical solutions. 4. Customer Relationship ManagementDevelop and maintain relationships with key customers across universities, research institutes, government organizations, and industrial enterprises. Conduct regular customer visits to understand requirements, strengthen customer satisfaction, and identify new opportunities. Manage key sales opportunities and major projects throughout the sales cycle. 5. Market Intelligence & CollaborationMonitor market trends, competitive activities, and emerging applications. Provide market insights to support product and business strategies. Participate in conferences, seminars, exhibitions, and other marketing activities. Collaborate with product, marketing, application, and sales teams to execute regional growth strategies and share successful practices across China. Qualifications & RequirementsBachelor’s degree or above in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Geochemistry, Earth Sciences, Materials Science, Environmental Science, or a related discipline. Relevant sales experience in analytical instruments, scientific equipment, or high-value technical solutions; experience in mass spectrometry or elemental analysis is preferred. Strong understanding of scientific, government, or industrial customer markets. Proven ability to develop new customers, manage key accounts, and drive complex sales opportunities. Strong business acumen, communication, negotiation, and relationship-management skills. Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work effectively both independently and within cross-functional teams. Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned territory. Good English communication skills and ability to work effectively in a multinational environment.
