A Day in the LifePosition Description: Responsible for addressing supply-related issues in coordination with Site Operations, Planning, Quality, and Finance departments. Participate in and provide leadership of strategic sourcing activities, with an emphasis on product lifecycle and supplier mgmt. Responsible for product lifecycle processes, including product and component P-I/P-O (phase-in/phase-out), and support for SIP (Strategic Inventory Purchases), Last Time Buy (LTB), and excess & obsolete (E&O) inventory processes. Provide analytical and problem-solving abilities to apply structured methodologies in identifying root causes of supply disruptions and implement corrective actions using Root Cause Analysis (RCA), 5Whys and cause mapping. Support supplier capacity planning and assist sourcing leaders in identifying and addressing capacity constraints through participation in SIOP (Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning) activities. Responsible for dual-source initiatives, including evaluation and integration of alternative suppliers to mitigate risk, planning systems and frameworks, including Master Production Schedule (MPS) processes, through line down emails following up the most critical parts. Collaborate across plants to maintain Material Usage Variance (MUV) within target with responsibilities for inventory control strategies, including inventory reserves, safety stock mgmt., and continuity of supply.
