Meet the Team Become part of Cisco's Product Operation team under Global Supply chain org —a high visible group dedicated to driving excellence in hardware programs. You will work closely with key hardware engineers within the Business Unit, as well as external suppliers, Global Strategic Management (GSM), and Supply Chain Finance. This collaborative environment is essential to ensuring that cost savings and gross margin performance expectations are met and fully aligned with our broader Business Unit strategy. Your Impact As a Supply Chain Program Manager (SCPM), you will serve as the primary driver for supply chain readiness, total cost management, and BOM resiliency for all hardware programs from pre-concept through First Hardware Ship (FHS), holding accountability for the assigned product portfolio’s total cost and margin management, cost reduction programs, and risk mitigation. As a SCPM you will validate the integrity of costed BOMs and forward costing to articulate main cost drivers, support standard and gross margin management through value engineering, commodity analysis, and BOM optimization, and lead ramp plans to ensure continuity of material supply and delivery between prototype and early production phases. You will be Working with: Internal Teams: HW Engineering, Product Engineers, Marketing, OPT (Operations Product Team), GSM (Global Supply Management), Services, Manufacturing Operations, Global Planning & Fulfilment, Finance. External Partners: EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Services) and other supply chain partners. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Engineering degree and 5–7+ years of professional experience in Supply Chain and Cost Management or an equivalent field. Cost Management Expertise: Proven experience with cost avoidance, cost reduction, and value engineering. BOM Proficiency: Deep expertise in understanding, analyzing, and managing product Bills of Material (BOM) and costing structures. Problem-Solving: Strong capability in root cause analysis and complex problem-solving within a technical environment. Interpersonal Skills: Effective communication and interpersonal skills required to collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams in an interactive, global environment. Preferred Qualifications Manufacturing Excellence: Experience in manufacturing and process improvements to drive cost-down and lead-time improvements. Systems Knowledge: Knowledge of PLM processes and experience with the Agile or similar PDM system. Analytical & Presentation Skills: Advanced analytical capabilities and strong presentation skills to communicate effectively with stakeholders. Communication: Strong verbal and written English communication skills. Organizational Skills: Efficient organizational and multi-tasking abilities to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously.
