At Roche, we offer a hybrid work model that combines flexibility with in-person collaboration. For now, we require our employees to be in our offices on average two days per week. The specific office days may vary depending on business needs, such as workshops, conferences, town halls, team meetings, and other collaborative events. The Lead IT Expert merges high-level technical architecture with operational service management. In this dual-capacity role, you will design business-driven, standards-based, and future-ready solutions within a complex multi-product environment while taking ownership of end-to-end service delivery performance, operational stability, vendor SLA compliance, and service lifecycle management. You will bridge the gap between strategic technology roadmaps and day-to-day IT operational excellence, ensuring solutions are not only architecturally sound and scalable, but also reliably The opportunity: Architectural Scope & Technical Leadership Design scalable solutions meeting product requirements, business priorities, and enterprise standards within a complex, multi-solution RDT ERP landscape. Document and evolve architecture across the product lifecycle, managing Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs), fitness functions, and Architecture Decision Records (ADRs). Define conceptual and logical data models, taxonomies, ontologies, and integration pathways. Develop, maintain, and drive the product technology roadmap while proactively managing technical debt, evaluating external technology trends, and conducting vendor technical assessments. Delivery & Service Operations Management End-to-End Service Governance: Oversee the operational delivery life cycle for ERP solution platforms, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs), operational level agreements (OLAs), and key performance indicators (KPIs) are consistently met. Service Continuity & Incident Escalation: Act as the major incident escalation point for critical service disruptions; perform root cause analysis (RCA) and drive continuous service improvement (CSI) initiatives. Release & Operations Alignment: Align architectural change roadmaps with IT Service Management (ITSM) operational models, change management workflows, and zero-downtime deployment strategies. Vendor & Service Provider Management: Drive operational accountability with third-party software vendors, system integrators, and managed service providers to guarantee quality delivery, contract compliance, and value realization. Stakeholder Management & Strategy Communicate complex architectural and operational concepts clearly to executives, business process owners, and cross-functional delivery teams. Negotiate strategic operational trade-offs between architectural purity, project delivery speed, cost, and long-term service stability. Ensure full alignment between strategic IT roadmaps, business capabilities, and day-to-day service operations. Who you are: Architecture Expertise: Proven track record designing standards-based solutions in complex, multi-product enterprise environments. Mastery of reference architectures, data modeling, integration pathways, and NFR management. Strong capability in leading architecture reviews, technology piloting, and technical debt reduction. Delivery & Service Management: ITIL v4 minimum certifications or equivalent hands-on experience in IT Service Management (ITSM). Demonstrated leadership in operational service delivery, incident/problem/change management, and SLA tracking. Proven experience managing multi-million Managed Service Provider (MSP) contracts, vendor deliverables, and vendor performance metrics. Domain & Compliance: Background in GxP environments, Computer System Validation (CSV), and regulated pharma/life sciences industry, quality and clinical experience (highly beneficial). Hands-on exposure to enterprise ERP implementations (SAP BTP, S/4HANA, or core ERP platforms, nice to have SAP Batch Release Hub). Soft Skills & Leadership: Exceptional negotiation, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to mentor junior architects, service managers, and cross-functional delivery teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with a focus on business value. What you get:Salary range 19,075 - 35,425 PLN gross based on the employment contract. Compensation & BenefitsThe expected salary range for this position, based on the primary location of Warsaw Grafit is 0.00 CHF - 0.00 CHF. Final compensation will be determined by a number of factors, including your skills, experience, qualifications, and location. In addition to base pay, this role may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus with a target of 20% subject to both individual and company performance.
