Within the Engineering & Property Services (E&PS) department in Beerse, we are looking for a Facilities Manager Central Utilities (CU). Key Responsibilities: As Facilities Manager your main responsibility is to drive the safe and efficient daily operation and follow-up of the CU facilities on the Beerse site. You are responsible for solving problems related to installations and systems that have an impact on safety, environment, sustainability, quality, cost and/or reliability. You act as the system owner for all the technical installations within scope. You'll be a servant leader and be responsible for mentoring and developing your team (supervisor, work preparers, technicians and operators). Together with your team, you ensure a technical environment that meets high quality requirements, high operational reliability and strict standards in terms of safety and the environment. You actively participate during audits and inspections (SEVESO, PSM…). As the owner of the key on-site energy sources (including geothermal), you are the person who has a massive impact on the site regarding sustainability. You establish a culture of integrity and continuous improvement supported by critical metrics, benchmarking and sharing of standard methodologies. You take on responsibility for preparing the yearly budget cycle related to OPEX for maintenance activities within the CU area and handle the cost according to the approved budget. As the Business Portfolio Owner (BPO) Central Utilities you: Are responsible for the management of the Central Utilities portfolio target and for the follow-up of the overall spend status. Supervise the status and CAPEX spend of the CU portfolio, and manage the portfolio actively by prioritizing and rescheduling the projects within the portfolio (accelerating projects, initiating new projects, putting project on hold…), adjusting the target accordingly along the way. Education: University/Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Equivalent. A minimum of five (5) years of managerial experience in a sophisticated operational environment, with achievements in operations & process management, process improvement, project management, engineering and cost management. Required: At least 5 years of working experience, preferably within utilities, maintenance or process industry. A broad knowledge of Facilities management, energy and utilities and water systems. Demonstrates an understanding of AI concepts and frameworks, including awareness of responsible and ethical AI practices, and has experience generating effective prompts to boost efficiency and productivity Preferred: Experience in management of outsourced activities is an asset. Knowledge of J&J’s FPX (Flawless Project Execution) methodology. Preferably Manufacturing Asset Management Certified (MAMC). Knowledge of CMMS system (eStream) and Compliant Systems (e.g. Comet, Truvault, ,...). Other: We expect you to have good written and oral communication skills, both in Dutch and English.
