The Staff Product Quality Engineer (PQE) is responsible for leading the resolution of complex product quality issues, driving continuous improvement in product and test quality, and influencing quality strategy across the product lifecycle. You will serve as a technical leader within the Global Quality organisation and partner closely with Business Units, Manufacturing Operations, Reliability Engineering, Customer Quality, and Product Development teams. In this role, you will apply advanced problem-solving methodologies, evaluate quality risks, and champion preventive quality practices that improve customer satisfaction and business performance. Key Responsibilities Lead global cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve complex product quality issues from initiation through closure, while balancing quality, cost, and operational considerations. Evaluate product, process, and test-related quality risks throughout the product lifecycle. Analyse manufacturing, reliability, yield, and customer-return data to identify systemic issues and emerging trends. Provide technical leadership for quality assessments related to product changes, process transfers, test enhancements, and new technology introductions. Support Customer Quality Engineering teams in customer communications and escalations. Drive deployment and continuous improvement of quality management systems and best practices. Support internal, customer, and third-party audits to ensure compliance with applicable quality standards. Influence quality strategy and promote a culture of prevention and continuous improvement. Mentor and develop engineers in quality methodologies, risk management, and structured problem-solving. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or related technical discipline. Typically, 8+ years of semiconductor industry experience in Product Quality, Product Engineering, Test Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Failure Analysis, or Manufacturing Engineering. Strong technical understanding of semiconductor manufacturing and product lifecycle processes. Desirable Experience Experience in automotive quality systems including APQP, PPAP, Safe Launch, IATF 16949, and Functional Safety. Strong technical background in semiconductor, electronic systems, reliability testing and failure analysis techniques. Experience supporting customer-facing quality engagements. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, or equivalent continuous improvement qualification.
