Accountant, General Accounting - Milan Assago Italy Responsibilities will include: Responsible for the month-end close of Italy entity under ADI group. Preparation of monthly P&L and Balance Sheet reconciliations. Preparation of quarterly schedules for reporting. Posting and analysis of monthly accruals and prepayments, ensuring that all items are accurately captured. Preparation of annual Statutory Accounts to strict deadlines. Generation of monthly cash forecasts Support Global Fixed Asset Team. Responsible for pension accounting and pension plan administration. Responsible for Intercompany Charges and posting. Preparation & Submission of the VAT return for Italy entity. Support Global Payroll Team in payroll related responsibilities. Support site management team & prepare quarterly lease schedules Ensure compliance with Sox control procedures and corporate/local policies. Cooperation with pension insurers, external auditors, tax office, tax advisor and other authorities and institutions. Assist with streamlining processes and transfer of processes to Shared Service Centre, and update of manuals and local policies as required. Actively seek to implement continuous improvement in area of responsibility. Assistance with Merger & Acquisition activity for Italy entities under ADI group where applicable. AD Duties as required. Qualification Hold a Business Studies/Commerce degree/Accounting degree and an appropriate professional qualification in Accounting, Payroll and Taxes. Several years of relevant professional experience in connection with the abovementioned responsibilities Knowledge Italian GAAP. Knowledge U.S GAAP would be an advantage. Good working knowledge S4 HANA & SAP would be an advantage. Good Excel knowledge. Good written and spoken English language skills. Exposure to working in a multicurrency environment. High sense of urgency is crucial. Hands on pragmatic approach to problem solving. Highly effective communicator. Highly motivated and work well on own initiative. An ability to work to tight deadlines and handle multiple issues simultaneously. The pay range for this position in Italy is €52,360 to €75,820. (base salary) This range may change if you are hired in another location. The stated range may be inclusive of several levels within this role and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate's experience, qualifications, and specific location. Applicants interested in this role who are not located in the primary location may request the applicable pay range for their location during the interview process if an alternative location is an option. This position qualifies for a discretionary performance-based bonus, the criteria for which are based on company factors and will be shared during the recruitment process.
