Job description

ADVANCE YOUR CAREER. ADVANCE THE WORLD. At AMD, we believe technology can change lives for the better. It can heal us, entertain us, and make us more connected, productive, and understanding of the world around us. And we’re looking for talent who feel the same: people who want to leave the planet better than they found it, those who don’t shy away from humanity’s challenges but are determined to help solve them. AMD is powering the next generation of supercomputing, high-performance computing, cloud, and AI. Whether you’re designing next-gen processors, enabling AI breakthroughs, or creating go-to-market plans, every role at AMD contributes to something bigger — technology that moves the world forward. THE ROLE: We are seeking an experienced program manager to own and drive end-to-end AI cluster delivery across the full lifecycle—from solution architecture and planning through NPI validation, internal and external deployments, customer support readiness, and lab capacity execution. This role requires strong analytical, problem-solving, risk management, and cross-functional leadership skills, with the ability to operate effectively in complex hardware, firmware, software, networking, and datacenter-scale environments. THE PERSON: As a Program Manager, you will partner with architecture, engineering, validation, deployment, customer-facing, and lab operations teams to deliver complex AI cluster solutions from concept through production readiness. You will help define customer and platform requirements, establish integrated execution plans, align internal and external stakeholders, and ensure AMD product solution deliverables support successful cluster bring-up, validation, deployment, and customer lifecycle needs. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Defines, plans, and drives end-to-end AI cluster delivery programs spanning solution architecture, platform readiness, validation, deployment, customer support, and lifecycle execution. Possesses a thorough knowledge of program management principles and applies them effectively across small to large-scale cluster delivery initiatives involving multiple technical domains and stakeholder groups. Has responsibility for programs and processes of significant technical and business importance, including execution results that cross architecture, engineering, NPI validation, lab operations, deployment, and customer support areas. Initiates and drives improvements to execution models, triage workflows, deployment readiness processes, lab capacity planning, and cross-team operating rhythms to improve delivery efficiency and predictability. Creates and maintains program artifacts such as integrated schedules, resource and lab capacity plans, deployment plans, validation readiness trackers, risk and issue logs, decision registers, and executive status summaries. Provides clear program status, dependency mapping, and executive-level visibility across cluster architecture, NPI validation, internal deployments, external/customer deployments, and support readiness. Identifies actions, owners, and mitigation plans for technical, schedule, capacity, deployment, and customer-impacting risks throughout the cluster delivery lifecycle. Collaborates with architecture, engineering, validation, deployment, business unit, customer engineering, and lab operations teams to identify areas requiring escalation, corrective action, or executive alignment. Collects, analyzes, organizes, and publishes program performance data through dashboards, recurring status reports, readiness reviews, and deployment health indicators. ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent This role is not eligible for Visa Sponsorship or Transfer #LI-KW1 Benefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance .
