Find out more: Our approach to R&D Position Summary The Lab Data manager will be responsible for delivering fit-for-purpose scientific data management solutions for R&D Contributes to designing/defining solutions to make lab data secure & ready for reuse through (meta)data standard format, storage and archiving management. Contributes to a smart risk-taking approach and capturing best opportunities linked to Lab Data concerns. You will work in partnership with a broad range of stakeholder groups such as Quality, Computer System Validation, Tech, Procurement and R&D scientific platforms to foster Innovation and proactively define standards, identify cost saving opportunities and accelerate generation of scientific results Lead Data management project E2E to bring the best value for R&D users or participate to large R&D transversal data management project Key responsibilities include: This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following: As an expert in the field of Lab data management and DDA, provides effective and inspiring guidance in term of Lab data management to the team, group, as well as towards R&D customers Defines responsibilities and allocates resources to the different projects taking into account the departmental priorities & ensure performance management providing oversight through performance metrics and adapted governance Ensure the training/coaching of MyLabData user: leverage & share MLD expertise and ensure the testing of new release of MyLabdata Analyse Business needs, formalize into detailed use cases (e.g.: Propose & test new complex equipment data strategy (e.g. NGS)) and propose data solution strategy in partnership with key stakeholders (e.g.: Tech) Challenge WoW and traditional thinking concerning Lab Data management in a smart risk-taking approach to improve quality & performance Develop and maintain the archiving strategy and associated guidance for electronic lab data Actively participate to the definition or revision of data management global standard (e.g.: Data Management GSOP) Ensure respect of quality standards within the team (e- Change Control, CAPA, deviations) Actively interact with a broad range of stakeholders, with focus on value creation/demonstration and smart risk taking Drive continuous improvement by assessing current technical solutions and overall performance. Identify alternative solutions and recommend these to senior stakeholders in a comprehensive and engaging manner Why you? Basic Qualifications: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals: Degree in Life science, engineering or equivalent experience 5+ years experience in Laboratory Knowledge in data management Experience in Project management and change management Preferred Qualifications: If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus: Experience in dealing and working in Regulated Environments Good communication skills: influencing and coaching/mentoring skills to deal with multiple departments (IT, QA, Business) Strong analytical mindset to quickly assimilate facts and data and develop an understanding of complex matters in order to synthesize a story into a (cost-)effective solution or an actionable set of recommendations Good interpersonal and influencing skills allowing to interact at all levels of the organization Ability to manage risks, define risk-based strategies. Ability to challenge and debate issues. Ability to quickly assimilate facts and data and develop an understanding of complex matters. Assesses needs & constraints and converts these into a realistic solution Is resourceful on innovation opportunities in the area of expertise Project management and change management #GSK-LI Skills Artificial Intelligence (AI), Business Analysis, Data Analysis, Data Mining, Digital Fluency, Organization Transformation, Product Development, Project Management, Security System Design • If you are based in Cambridge, MA; Waltham, MA; Rockville, MD; or San Francisco, CA, the annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges $119,625 to $199,375. The US salary ranges take into account a number of factors including work location within the US market, the candidate’s skills, experience, education level and the market rate for the role. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program which is dependent on the level of the role.
