You will lead a team of 11 specialists across three key disciplines, all working together to support the sales of our Electric Motors and Drives. The team provides technical expertise, manages delivery projects, and coordinates our most complex quotations and tenders. The team includes five Bid Engineers, three Delivery Project Managers, and three Product Managers, with responsibility for Low Voltage and High Voltage Motors and Drives respectively. Our sales organization is supporting the Swedish market, and as your team members are based across Sweden in several local offices, you will lead a geographically distributed organization. Therefore, success in this role requires strong remote leadership skills, combined with regular travel to meet and support your team members in person. To lead this team, you also need to have a broad technical understanding but don’t have to be a specialist yourself. Since the team is cooperating with many stakeholders, customers, internal teams and internal production units; a collaborative mindset is essential to achieve success in this position. Both in terms of motivating and inspiring the team but also by being a collaborative leader amongst your peers, as you will be a part of the Local Management Team. You are also involved in discussions and escalations with the production units regarding deliveries and technical solutions. You communicate daily with the sales team, where you together support the customer in the best way. Your responsibilities Lead, coach and motivate the team to deliver the best possible technical solutions and support to our customers. Drive continuous improvements to deliver exceptional customer experience while adapting to the demands of a dynamic and changing environment. Further develop the team to strengthen technical expertise and ensure alignment with Motion's long-term strategy. Secure and maintain robust processes, systems, and reporting structures to support operational excellence. Serve as an active member of the Local Management team With curiosity you constantly seek new opportunities to expand the business and find new solutions to creating superior customer experience. The preferred location for this role is Västerås. However, for the right candidate, the position can also be based at one of our other ABB offices in Sweden. Your background You have held a leadership position, preferably within a technical sales organization or another technical environment. Experience managing direct reports in a geographically dispersed team is considered an advantage. Previous experience in technical sales, delivery projects, or other roles involving advanced technical expertise and technical dialogue with stakeholders is highly desirable. You demonstrate strong leadership, collaboration, and a results-driven mindset. You proactively challenge and support stakeholders while ensuring that quotations, bids, and delivery projects progress efficiently and achieve their objectives. We believe you hold an engineering degree in a relevant technical field, such as Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Management, or a related discipline. Alternatively, you have extensive experience within similar industries. Fluency in both Swedish and English, written and spoken, is required, as you will work with international companies operating in the Swedish market.
