This position reports to: Engineering Manager - Ehouse __ Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to be a design authority for an engineering discipline. Each day, you will complete assignments on multiple projects of moderate size or portions of major projects in a cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring assignments are completed in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies and standards. The work model for this role is: Onsite You will be mainly accountable for: Performing structural analysis, design calculations, and optimization using industry-standard software and engineering methodologies. Developing structural designs, layouts, drawings, specifications, and technical documentation, including general arrangements, detailed, isometric, and fabrication drawings. Ensuring compliance with customer requirements, applicable codes, standards, and classification society regulations, including ASTM, EN, API, SOLAS, ABS, DNV, and LR. Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to integrate structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, and HVAC systems while resolving design interfaces and clashes. Managing structural engineering activities throughout project execution, including planning, technical reviews, procurement support, fabrication follow-up, and schedule management. Supporting installation, commissioning, and operational phases by resolving engineering issues, managing deviations and change requests, updating as-built documentation, and verifying structural integrity. Providing technical leadership through customer engagement, bid evaluations, mentoring of junior engineers, and continuous improvement of structural engineering practices and solutions. Qualifications for the role Minimum 8 years of structural engineering experience in Marine & Offshore, FPSO, E-House, Oil & Gas, or industrial facility projects. Proven expertise in the analysis and design of offshore and modular steel structures, including FPSO topsides, subsea, and complex structural systems. Advanced proficiency in structural engineering software such as SACS, STAAD Pro, ANSYS, ABAQUS, and other finite element analysis tools. Strong knowledge of structural steel materials, welding standards, fabrication methods, construction sequencing, tolerances, and quality requirements. Experience in lifting and rigging engineering, mechanical handling design, offshore transportation, loadout, sea fastening, and installation methodologies. Sound understanding of fatigue assessment, fracture mechanics, structural integrity management, fire-rated design, building codes, and egress requirements. Ability to independently review and approve engineering calculations, technical reports, vendor deliverables, drawings, and multidisciplinary design interfaces using tools such as Navisworks, E3D, or SP3D. Excellent initiative, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage project priorities, mentor junior engineers, engage stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
