This Position reports to: Service Team Leader Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to execute robot service activities as per work instructions and in accordance with ABB standard processes, quality standards, and safety guidelines. The role requires strong expertise in industrial robotics, troubleshooting, and automation technologies, along with the ability to deliver high-quality customer service, ensure system reliability, and support continuous improvement of robotic applications. The work model for the role is: #Li_Onsite This role is contributing to the customer service in Bangalore and South region. You will be mainly accountable for: Deliver installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency repair services for ABB robotic systems and associated automation equipment at customer sites. Accountable for diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, software, and PLC communication issues to minimize downtime, improve system reliability, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. Provide onsite and remote technical support, conduct customer training, and build strong customer relationships through effective communication and responsive service. Manage field service activities across India, including extensive travel (60-70%), timely response to customer requirements, and regular reporting of service status and project progress. Support robot system integration, identify opportunities for service and business growth, and recommend improvements that enhance customer operations and system performance. Qualifications for the role Diploma / BE / B. Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related field. Minimum 5-8 Years of experience in industrial robotics, with hands-on expertise in ABB Robots, robot applications, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Strong knowledge of industrial robotics applications, robotic systems, and automation technologies. Sound understanding of ABB robot programming, operation, maintenance, and application support, with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting capabilities. Good understanding of industrial automation systems, PLCs, and related robotic peripheral equipment. Ability to quickly adapt to new technologies, products, and evolving customer requirements in the automation and robotics industry.
